Maxwell Crozier to Replace Declan Carlile Sunday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Maxwell Crozier is expected to draw into the lineup for Sunday's Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Declan Carlile has been used as a replacement for Charle-Edouard D'Astous (undisclosed) in a couple of games, but the team will turn to Crozier on Sunday night. The 26-year-old did a decent job on defense during the regular season, registering 10 points (one goal, nine assists), 46 SOG, 31 blocks, 39 hits, and a plus-five rating in 35 contests.

Maxwell Crozier to Miss 10 Weeks After Surgery

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Maxwell Crozier will miss approximately 10 weeks following surgery to repair a core muscle injury, the team announced on Wednesday. Crozier has been a solid contributor for the Lightning this season, recording 10 points (one goal, nine assists), 44 shots, 31 blocks, 38 hits, and a plus-seven rating across 34 outings. Crozier's projected recovery timeline means he will likely miss the rest of the regular season and could be sidelined for the start of the playoffs if the Lightning manage to extend their season.

Maxwell Crozier Likely Out on Friday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Maxwell Crozier (undisclosed) is not expected to play in Friday's matchup against the Detroit Red Wings, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports. Speaking to reporters after Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper was pessimistic about Crozier's chances of being available for the next game. On Tuesday, Crozier was limited to 4:27 of ice time due to an undisclosed injury. If he can't play on Friday, there's a strong chance that Crozier will also miss Saturday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 25-year-old has impressed early in the season, notching three assists in four games. Tampa Bay will probably have Darren Raddysh step in for Crozier. Raddysh has also enjoyed offensive success this season by tallying three points (one goal, two assists) in two outings.
