Vinnie Hinostroza to Miss 4-6 Weeks

Minnesota Wild center Vinnie Hinostroza (lower body) will miss 4-6 weeks of action, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Last week, he was hurt in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday. Hinostroza has recorded five points (two goals, three assists) in 22 appearances this season. The injury bug has bitten the Wild's frontline badly lately, resulting in Danila Yurov taking on the top-line center role. The Russian rookie has handled the added responsibility well, notching four points (one goal, three assists) over the past four games.

Vinnie Hinostroza Suffers Serious Injury Friday

Minnesota Wild center Vinnie Hinostroza (undisclosed) suffered a serious injury in Friday's win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. The 31-year-old left the contest in the second period following a hit from Penguins defenseman Ryan Greaves. Hinostroza has played in all 22 Wild games this season, contributing two goals and three assists as a bottom-six player. Unfortunately, it now appears Hinostroza will miss some time. Minnesota's frontline has also recently lost Ryan Hartman (lower body) and Vladimir Tarasenko (lower body), leading to Danila Yurov being promoted to the top line.

Vincent Hinostroza Makes Second Blackhawks Debut

Chicago Blackhawks forward Vincent Hinostroza, who was acquired from Florida last Friday, is set to fill a second-line role in Tuesday's clash with the Stars. It's going the be his second team debut after he spent his first couple of years in the league as a member of the Blackhawks. Hinostroza was traded to Arizona in 2018 and he then signed for Florida in 2020. Things didn't work out for him there, and the Blackhawks love to bring back former players, so the Chicago-born forward landed in the Windy City again. Hinostroza is set to skate with Philipp Kurashev and Dominik Kubalik, who is among Chicago's leading scorers. Kevin Lankinen, who is unbeaten in two appearances against Dallas this season, will make his 28th start of the season between the pipes.
