Rangers
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) has resumed running this offseason and is expected to be ready to go for the start of spring training in mid-February, barring any setbacks. Garcia didn't require surgery on his left knee, but his 2024 campaign ended early due to a sprained patellar tendon. The 31-year-old Cuban outfielder made his second All-Star team in 2023 and then led the Rangers to their first-ever World Series title by setting career-highs in home runs (39), RBI (107) and runs scored (108) in 148 regular-season games. Garcia took a big step back in 2024, slashing .224/.284/.400 with a below-average .684 OPS, 25 homers, 85 RBI, 11 steals, 68 runs scored and 177 strikeouts in 637 plate appearances over 154 games played. It's good news that he should be fully recovered from his knee injury heading into the 2025 season as he looks to bounce back as a high-end power bat for fantasy managers.

Adolis Garcia Dealing With Sprained Patellar Tendon
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) has a sprained left patellar tendon and will rehab for eight weeks before starting his offseason workouts. Despite dealing with a knee injury for the final few weeks of the 2024 regular season, Garcia will not need surgery for his knee injury and should be good to go for the start of spring training next February, barring a setback with his knee this offseason. After helping the Rangers win their first-ever World Series title last fall, the 31-year-old Cuban slugger regressed in 2024, slashing .224/.284/.400 with a below-average .684 OPS, 25 home runs, 85 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 68 runs scored in 154 games. It was a disappointment after he made his second All-Star appearance in 2023 by hitting a career-high 39 home runs and driving in a career-high 107 runs in 148 regular-season games. If Garcia can put his knee injury in the rearview mirror to start next season, he'll be hoping to bounce back as a more consistent power bat.

Adolis Garcia Undergoing MRI On His Knee
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) is undergoing an MRI exam on his left knee, and the Rangers are hopeful he can avoid offseason surgery. A year after leading the Rangers to their first-ever World Series, Adolis is out of the postseason altogether and is now managing a knee ailment heading into the offseason. If the 31-year-old veteran were to go under the knife, it's unknown if it would affect his availability for the start of spring training in February or the beginning of the 2025 regular season. Garcia suffered his knee injury in the final week of the regular season. The two-time All-Star wasn't quite as impressive in 2024 in his fifth year in Texas, slashing .224/.284/.400 with a below-average .684 OPS. After setting career-highs in home runs (39) and RBI (107) in 2023, Garcia produced 25 home runs, 85 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 154 games for the Rangers. He'll be hoping to bounce back in 2025.

Adolis Garcia Goes Yard Twice
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia collected three hits in Wednesday night's win over the hosting Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, smashing two home runs in the victory. After crushing a solo homer off Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck to left field to make it a 2-2 ballgame in the sixth inning, Garcia hit his second solo shot of the game to trim Boston's lead to 4-3 in the eighth frame on Wednesday. In 16 games since July 27, the 31-year-old star right fielder is hitting .283 (17-for-60) with the aforementioned two homers, seven RBI, and eight runs scored.

Adolis Garcia Dropped To Fifth In Batting Order
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia has been dropped to fifth in the batting order for Monday's series opener on the road in Anaheim against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Davis Daniel. Garcia got a mental break in the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday due to his season-long slump at the plate, and he'll return on Monday a little lower in the lineup. The 31-year-old right-handed slugger hasn't had a hit in his last 10 at-bats in his last three starts and is now down to a .215/.280/.413 slash line with a .694 OPS in 85 games on the year after earning his second All-Star selection in 2023. Garcia does have 16 home runs, seven stolen bases and 44 RBI, but overall it's been a hugely disappointing season for his fantasy managers.

Adolis Garcia Getting A Breather Against Rays
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is retreating to the bench on Sunday for a day off against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays for the series finale. Garcia's season-long struggles have continued into July so far, as he's gone 2-for-18 (.111) with two doubles, two walks, seven strikeouts and a stolen base in five games, including going hitless in each of his last three games. The 31-year-old Cuban slugger does have 16 home runs and 44 RBI in 85 games in 2024, so the power hasn't gone away, but he's hitting just .215 (68-for-317) with a .280 on-base percentage and .694 OPS after making his second All-Star team and leading the Rangers to their first-ever World Series championship last year. Travis Jankowski will get the start in right field for the Rangers on Sunday and will hit eighth against Rays right-hander Zack Littell. Jankowski is mostly a speed option in AL-only leagues and should be avoided for DFS purposes.

Adolis Garcia Hits 14th Homer Of Season Monday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia had a nice day at the plate in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Brewers. Garcia went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, a walk, and a strikeout. Garcia lifted a sixth-inning Elvis Peguero fastball just over the left-center wall for his 14th long ball of the season. The 31-year-old has not been quite as productive as fantasy managers were hoping for, slashing .218/.281/.411 with 39 runs scored, 42 RBI, and six stolen bases in 306 plate appearances. His overall profile is still useful for all leagues, particularly points leagues, but his low batting average hurts more in roto leagues if he isn't providing as much power or speed. However, the Rangers' offense hasn't been as productive as a whole. Hopefully, the team can get things going, which may help Garcia.

Adolis Garcia Returns On Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (forearm) is back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Taijuan Walker, serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup. Derek Hill is making another start in right field and will hit in the eight-hole for the Rangers. Garcia injured his right forearm during a collision with second baseman Marcus Semien and was held out for the team's last two games. But the injury wasn't serious, and the 31-year-old right-handed slugger needs to be returned to all fantasy lineups as he takes on Walker, who he has never faced in his career. The two-time All-Star has opened his 2024 campaign with a .251/.297/.491 slash line with 11 home runs, nine doubles, 35 RBI, four stolen bases and 24 runs scored in 46 games. However, he's slumping a bit in May, going 13-for-69 (.188) with three homers, 10 RBI and 24 K's in 17 games.

Adolis Garcia Still Sitting Tuesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (forearm) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Derek Hill was called up from Triple-A Round Rock and will get the start in right field on Tuesday while batting eighth against Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Garcia was scratched from Sunday's lineup with right-forearm discomfort after colliding with second baseman Marcus Semien on Saturday. The good news is that the 31-year-old right-handed slugger isn't suffering from a serious injury and could be back in the lineup as early as Wednesday's contest in Philly. When healthy and in the lineup, Garcia is a must-start in all fantasy formats, despite the fact he's hit just .188 (13-for-69) with three homers and 10 RBI in 17 games in May. Overall, he's batting .251 with 11 long balls, 35 RBI and four steals in 175 at-bats.

Adolis Garcia Could Be Available Tuesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (forearm), who was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Los Angeles Angels due to a right-forearm injury that he suffered during a collision with Marcus Semien on Saturday, could be available for Tuesday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies after tests didn't show any structural damage in his arm. The Rangers have a scheduled off day on Monday, which is great news for the 31-year-old slugger. Like many of the Texas hitters, Garcia has struggled in May, batting .188 (13-for-69) with three home runs, 10 RBI and 24 strikeouts in 74 plate appearances over 17 games. However, fantasy managers will need to return Garcia to their starting lineups if he's back in the fold on Tuesday. In 175 total at-bats in 2024, he's hitting .251/.297/.491 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, four stolen bases and 24 runs scored for the reigning champs.
