New York Yankees relief pitcher Ryan Weber (elbow) may need Tommy John surgery. The 32-year-old has appeared in 14 1/3 innings in eight games this season, amassing a 3.14 ERA with seven strikeouts. Unfortunately, he landed on the 15-day injured list on June 3 because of right forearm and elbow discomfort, which resulted in a visit to a specialist. Weber is still trying to avoid going under the knife by undergoing treatment, including a platelet-rich plasma injection and rehab. But whatever happens regarding the injury, not many fantasy managers will be negatively impacted.

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Ryan Weber was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Weber was claimed off waivers from Milwaukee a week ago, after tossing one scoreless inning of relief for the Brewers. It was only his second appearance of the year, which went much better than his first appearance when he was still with the Red Sox, where he allowed 11 runs on 13 hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings of work. He's looked better at Triple-A this year, posting a 4.75 ERA, 1.373 WHIP and 23.8 percent strikeout rate over 47 1/3 innings pitched. One can hope that he will be able to turn things around in Seattle, but until he shows improvement, there's no reason to have him rostered in any format.

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Ryan Weber is the newest member of the team, as he was claimed off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers. Weber has bounced around the league this year, starting with the Red Sox before being claimed by the Brewers, and now the Mariners. He's only thrown 6 2/3 innings this year in two appearances, and given up 11 earned runs. Weber was optioned to Triple-A, and third baseman Wyatt Mathisen was designated for assignment in a corresponding move to make space on the roster. He is not expected to make a fantasy impact this season, but stranger things have happened in a fluid Seattle bullpen.
