The Detroit Tigers agreed to trade outfielder Trayce Thompson to the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash considerations on Monday. Thompson will rejoin a Dodgers team that he last played for in 2016, a season in which he hit .225 with 13 homers. The Dodgers were in need of some outfield depth after losing Mookie Betts (ribs) and Kevin Pillar (shoulder) to injury over the past few weeks. Thompson was hitting .305 with 17 homers at Triple-A this season while getting one hit in 14 at-bats at the big-league level.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Trayce Thompson was traded to the Chicago Cubs for cash considerations on Tuesday, according to Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register. Thompson had started off the year at Triple-A, slashing .278/.350/.333 with a double, two walks and two runs scored over his first four games. With Ian Happ and Jake Marisnick on the injured list, this provides the Cubs with some organizational depth in the outfield should any more injuries crop up.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Trayce Thompson snapped a 1-for-18 skid on Saturday afternoon, as he went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base. It was Thompson's third home run of the spring, as he improved his triple-slash line to .212/.257/.485 over 10 games. Thompson has struggled in limited playing time over the past two seasons, as he has yet to repeat his 2018 performance in which he hit 13 home runs with five steals in 80 games. In deep, NL-only formats he might be worth taking a look at, but for most managers Thompson should not be considered an option until he can show consistency at the plate.
