Jalen Johnson Ruled Out For Tuesday
Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson has been trying to play through shoulder inflammation, but he will be sidelined for Tuesday's matchup against the Jazz. It will be his second straight absence for the Hawks, and his third in the last four games. Johnson is having a breakout season, averaging 19.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting over 50% from the field and posting a 22.6% usage rate that ranks third on the team. The Hawks have dropped three straight, and without Johnson, they'll turn to De'Andre Hunter to pick up some extra workload while Garrison Mathews and Vit Krejci also see expanded roles. Krejci started in Johnson's spot on Saturday and produced nine points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 28 minutes.

Bilal Coulibaly Could Be Ready To Return Against Houston
Washington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly has had a strong second season in the NBA, and he could be ready to return to action after missing the last two games for the Wizards with an illness. He was listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets along with several other key parts of the Wizards rotation like Jordan Poole (hip) and Bub Carrington (ankle). The 20-year-old has started 29 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in 33.8 minutes per game. If Coulibaly is sidelined again on Tuesday, Justin Champagnie would be the primary beneficiary, since he would likely continue to start alongside Kyle Kuzma while Corey Kispert and Kyshawn George could also potentially get more work in the second unit.

Malcolm Brogdon Will Not Play Tuesday
Washington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (foot) got the start on Sunday with Jordan Poole (hip) out, but the veteran only played 14 minutes before leaving due to a right foot injury. While Poole and several other key contributors are questionable for Tuesday's game, the Wizards have already ruled Brogdon out. If they play through their questionable tags, Bub Carrington (ankle) and Bilal Coulibaly (illness) would pick up some of Brogdon's usage and production. However, if Carrington, Coulibaly, or Poole are also out, there will be more opportunities available for Jared Butler, Kyshawn George, Corey Kispert, and Justin Champagnie.

Jordan Poole Uncertain Against Houston
Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole missed Sunday's loss to the Pelicans with a left hip contusion, and he was listed as questionable for Tuesday's home game against the Rockets. Poole has a team-high 28.8% usage rate in his 28 games this season, averaging 21.8 points, 5.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 31.2 minutes per contest. Before being sidelined, Poole had at least 25 points in six straight games, and if he returns, he'll have his typical extremely high ceiling. The Wizards' rotation is very uncertain, though, since Poole is joined by Bilal Coulibaly (illness) and Bub Carrington (ankle) as questionable while Malcolm Brogdon (foot) has already been ruled out. If Poole is out, Carrington would fill in, but if he's out as well, Jared Butler and Kyshawn George would be asked to step up once again.

Bub Carrington Listed As Questionable For Tuesday
Washington Wizards guard Bub Carrington (ankle) was listed as questionable for Tuesday's home game against the Rockets, and the Wizards could be very short-handed since Jordan Poole (hip) is also questionable, and Malcolm Brogdon (foot) has been ruled out. On Sunday, Carrington had 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in 34 minutes while Poole was sidelined and Brogdon left early. If Carrington plays and Poole and Brogdon are out, the rookie will be a very strong play. If Carrington, Poole, and Brogdon are all sidelined, Kyshawn George and Jared Butler would have to carry the load in the backcourt. Butler had a strong showing with 17 points in 20 minutes, while on the other hand, George missed all seven of his shots from the field and had just one point in 27 minutes.

Jalen Green Questionable Against Washington
Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green has started 2025 red hot, but his run of success could come to a screeching halt on Tuesday after he was listed on the injury report as questionable with a right knee contusion. Green has averaged 27.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 35.3 minutes per game in his last three games. On Sunday against the Lakers, Green dropped 33 points in the Rockets' four-point win but also apparently picked up this knee injury. Green has played every one of the Rockets' 35 games this season, but if he's sidelined on Tuesday, Fred VanVleet would get much more usage while Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson could also be lined up for more work as well. In such a favorable matchup, Green's availability will be a very important storyline to follow for Tuesday's slate.

Tari Eason Doubtful Tuesday Against The Wizards
Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (leg) was listed on the injury report as doubtful for Tuesday's road game in Washington. Eason has missed nine straight games due to this lower leg injury management and hasn't played since December 14. He was averaging 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game before being sidelined and was a meaningful contributor off the bench. Since he is unlikely to return Tuesday, Cam Whitmore and Jae'Sean Tate will continue to absorb his minutes, and those two players could each get even more work if Jalen Green (knee) is also out after being listed as questionable.

Josh Richardson Downgraded To Out
Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (heel) was doubtful for Monday night's matchup in Sacramento, and he was downgraded to out over an hour before tipoff. Richardson has been sidelined with this heel issue since November 18, but this was the first time he had been listed as anything other than out. The upgrade in status is actually a sign that Richardson could be nearing a return, although what role he'll be returning to is very uncertain. In his eight games this season, he has only averaged 18.4 minutes and contributed only 4.0 points per game. His next chance to return is Tuesday when the Heat finish their back-to-back with a matchup against the Warriors.

Keyonte George Ruled Out For Tuesday
Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (heel) will be sidelined again on Tuesday when the Jazz return home from their three-game road trip and host the Hawks. George has started 28 games this season and played 31.5 minutes per game with a 24.7% usage rate that ranks third on the team. His absence opens up plenty of playing time and opportunity in the back court. Rookie Isaiah Collier made his third start of the season on Sunday in George's absence. Despite making just one of his eight field goal attempts, Collier still had decent value since he had six assists and five rebounds. His non-scoring production is enough to consider him in deep leagues while the absence of George, John Collins (personal), and Jordan Clarkson (foot) opens up plenty of scoring chances for the red-hot Brice Sensabaugh in addition to Kyle Filipowski, Collin Sexton, and Svi Mykhailiuk.

John Collins Out Tuesday Against Atlanta
Utah Jazz forward John Collins (personal) won't face his former team on Tuesday when the Jazz host the Hawks. Collins has played just one game since December 21 after missing five games with a hip contusion before returning on Saturday and then missing Sunday's game with a personal matter that will also keep him away from the team on Tuesday. On Sunday, Micah Potter started in his spot against the Jazz and had three points, two rebounds, a steal, and a block in 21 minutes. Off the bench, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski both had big games with Sensabaugh scoring a team-high 27 points after scoring 34 points on Saturday night in Miami. Sensabaugh was the Jazz's first-round pick in 2023, and he should continue to get a chance to showcase his upside while Collins, Jordan Clarkson (foot), and Keyonte George (heel) are all sidelined.

Jordan Clarkson Will Miss At Least Two Weeks
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) had an MRI on Monday that confirmed a torn left plantar fascia, and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks, according to Sarah Todd of the Deseret News. Clarkson has battled foot issues much of the season and has played just 22 games with three starts. He has been effective when available, producing 16.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 25.5 minutes per game. While he is out, Collin Sexton and Brice Sensabaugh should each get big fantasy boosts. Sensabaugh was the team's first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has caught fire with 37 and 27 points in his last two games. The second-year wing should get plenty of action in the second unit for as long as Clarkson is sidelined.

Yuki Kawamura Available To Play Monday Against The Mavericks
Memphis Grizzlies guard Yuki Kawamura (shoulder) has only played 15 games with the Grizzlies this season, but the two-way player will be able to play after being listed as probable with a left shoulder sprain. He has been out for the past three games and is only averaging 3.3 minutes per contest. Kawamura could potentially see a few more minutes with both Ja Morant (shoulder) and Desmond Bane (ankle) sidelined, but Luke Kennard (hamstring) will be available after initially being ruled out, so the veteran could take some of the extra usage as well. Rookie Cam Spencer has also been getting time while Kawamura has been sidelined and could be competition for minutes on the end of the Grizzlies bench in the backcourt.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (hamstring) was originally listed as out for Monday night's matchup against the Mavs, but he was upgraded to questionable in the afternoon and ultimately will be able to give it a go. He has stepped into a very involved role with Desmond Bane (ankle) and Ja Morant (shoulder) off the floor, as they will be on Monday. With those guards out, Kennard's usage has jumped to 17.3% from his season average of 14.3%. In the three games he has played without the two starters, he averaged 8.7 points, 6.0 assists, and 2.7 rebounds. He could be a solid DFS value play if he's able to have a similar workload on Monday, and his availability crowds Cam Spencer and Yuki Kawamura (shoulder) as potential DFS punt plays.

Desmond Bane Downgraded To Out Against Dallas
Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane (ankle) was considered doubtful coming into Monday and was ruled out, as expected, before the Grizzlies hosted the Mavericks. Without Bane, Ja Morant (shoulder), Marcus Smart (finger), and Scotty Pippen Jr. will get all the usage they can handle in the backcourt, although Luke Kennard (hamstring) is now available after being upgraded from out to questionable in the middle of the day on Monday. Jaylen Wells and Cam Spencer will also be more involved in the backcourt against Dallas with Bane unavailable.

However, despite carrying injury designations, the 28-year-old has been on the floor, most recently scoring 33 points in Saturday's loss to Chicago. With Karl-Anthony Towns (hamstring) ruled out, Brunson should be in line for significantly more scoring opportunities, giving him added value for fantasy managers.

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (hamstring) won't play in Monday's meeting with the Orlando Magic. KAT injured his hamstring during Saturday's loss to the Chicago Bulls and was considered questionable heading into this one. However, he won't be out there against the short-handed Magic, so his next chance to play will be on Wednesday versus Toronto. Fortunately, Jalen Brunson (calf) is cleared to suit up, so he'll pick up some additional scoring chances. The same should apply for Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and OG Anunoby, with Precious Achiuwa in line for a significant bump in fantasy production.

As expected, Ayton will suit up for this game after being listed as probable coming into this contest. The expectation is that Ayton will have his normal role in the rotation. Ayton has produced four double-doubles over his last eight games. When healthy, Ayton has been a reliable contributor, but keeping him on the court has been the biggest problem. Donovan Clingan figures to continue serving as the primary backup which is usually only minutes in the teens.
