Andre Drummond News
Los Angeles Lakers center Andre Drummond broke out of a bit of a funk to post a double-double in Tuesday night's win over the New York Knicks. Drummond scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds while also adding three assists and two blocks. He shot 6-for-11 from the field and 4-for-7 from the line in the game. Drummond had been held in single-digits in scoring over his previous five games. His 18 rebounds on Tuesday were the most he's compiled since he grabbed 19 boards against the Dallas Mavericks on April 22. Drummond will look to build off this effort on Wednesday, when the Lakers have a favorable matchup against the Houston Rockets.
Los Angeles Lakers center Andre Drummond had a great night on the boards Thursday, pulling down 19 rebounds in a loss to Dallas. Drummond scored 14 points for his third double-double as a Laker, adding three assists, three blocks, and a steal in 31 minutes. The former Piston has been battling a toe injury- though he looked effective out there on both ends on Thursday. Drummond will get a rematch against the Mavericks on Saturday. Dallas ranks in the bottom half of the league in points and rebounds allowed to centers- so Drummond could have himself another double-double.
Los Angeles Lakers center Andre Drummond (toe) is probable to play in Thursday's contest against the Mavericks. Drummond has been able to tough out the injury lately- so it's not too surprising that the team expects him to be available. The 27-year-old big man is averaging a double-double with 1.8 steals per game in April and has two 20-point games in the month. Dallas is beatable down low, so Drummond could have himself a good game on Thursday night.
Los Angeles Lakers center Andre Drummond led the team with 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting on Saturday as the defending champs dropped the league-leading Utah Jazz in overtime 127-115. He grabbed eight rebounds and had three assists with two steals and one block in 30 minutes. Drummond shot 7-for-8 at the foul line and committed four turnovers. The two-time All-Star finally showed his true colors again after laying a couple of eggs offensively this week. The Jazz were without Rudy Gobert (rest), so they had no chance of stopping Drummond. The Lakers play Utah again on Monday with Gobert likely back in the mix, which will make it much harder for Drummond.
