Mikal Bridges News
Phoenix Suns small forward Mikal Bridges posted his second double-double of the year in Thursday's win over Portland, scoring 21 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. The 24-year-old shot 6-for-9 from the field and 6-for-6 at the line with a 3-for-5 effort from behind the arc. Bridges added two assists and one steal with two turnovers in 41 minutes. He stepped up big time on the glass, as Deandre Ayton (knee) missed his first game of the season. Dario Saric entered the starting five and finished with 12 points and five rebounds. The Suns play again on Saturday against San Antonio, which doesn't give Ayton a lot of time to recover, and Bridges will be expected to put in a lot of work on the glass again if Ayton isn't in the lineup.
Phoenix Suns small forward Mikal Bridges had a solid 18-point outing in Wednesday's victory over the Sixers while also bagging a pair of steals and blocks on the defensive end. He finished with 6-for-11 shooting and recorded four rebounds and one assist with zero turnovers in 37 minutes. Bridges led his team in playing time and was a team-best plus-10 for the contest. The 24-year-old lacks consistency offensively, but he's impressed in a pair of tough matchups at the start of an East Coast trip. The road trip continues in Boston on Thursday. Bridges flirted with a double-double in this year's first meeting with the Celtics, going for 19 points and nine rebounds on 61.5 percent shooting.
Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges was a menace on the defensive end in his team's overtime victory over the Hornets. Bridges recorded a career-high six steals while committing just one giveaway himself, adding a block for one of the best defensive performances of his young career. On the offensive end, the 24-year-old scored 13 points with eight rebounds, four assists, and a triple in 42 minutes. In many ways, March has been Bridges' best defensive month, as he has at least one steal in 10 of 12 games in the month. He gets a bit of a tricky matchup on Tuesday against the Hawks, so it might not be the game to target him in DFS.
Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges played a strong game on both ends of the floor in a 113-101 win over Minnesota. Bridges scored 17 points with six rebounds, three assists, three triples, and three steals in 35 minutes. The 24-year-old didn't commit a single turnover and shot 7-for-9 from the field- an all-around solid performance for his fantasy managers. Bridges is having the best season of his career- and is an ideal player to roster in category formats, as he doesn't hurt you in any single category. Bridges will draw the Lakers on Sunday. He put up a 19-7-5 line against them earlier this month.
