Landry Shamet News
The Brooklyn Nets are sending guard Landry Shamet to Phoenix in exchange for Jevon Carter and the 29th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The deal will add critical depth to the Suns, a team plagued by injuries during the postseason. The 24-year-old averaged 9.3 points and shot nearly 39 percent from deep during the 2020-21 campaign. He has the potential to see an uptick in fantasy production if given a more prominent role this season. However, Shamet will likely see most of his value as a streaming option during the occasional spot-start throughout the year.
Brooklyn Nets guard Landry Shamet (ankle) is officially active for the Game 1 playoff matchup against the Boston Celtics. The 24-year-old has been out since the middle of May with a sprained left ankle, and although he could see a minute's cap, he will still have to fight for floor time even if he doesn't, decreasing his DFS stock exponentially.
Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Landry Shamet broke out of a recent cold streak in a big way on Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Shamet shot 7-for-9 from the field, including 5-for-7 from downtown, on the way to a team-high 21 points. He also had three rebounds, one assist and one block. He logged a team-high 35 minutes in the game. Shamet had gone 0-for-9 from three-point range over his previous three games, so this was a much-needed scoring outburst for him. James Harden made his return to the court in the game and his presence likely helped clear up shooting space for Shamet. Next up for Shamet and the Nets is a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
Brooklyn Nets guard Landry Shamet finished with a season-high 30 points along with two rebounds and three assists in a season-high 38 minutes off the bench during Sunday's loss to Miami. Shamet notably knocked down seven three-pointers in the contest. The 24-year-old is only averaging 8.8 points per game this season but has now posted at least 17 points in the past four games. This increase in scoring is likely due to injuries on the team but it's still encouraging and now puts Shamet on the fantasy radar going forward. He has an excellent chance to build on these performances on Tuesday against a bottom-five New Orleans defense.
