OG Anunoby to Sit Out at Least Two Weeks

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hamstring) is expected to be out for a couple of weeks. ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Anunoby will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He will remain behind as the team begins a five-game road trip on Monday night against the Miami Heat. Anunoby averages the fourth-most minutes on the Knicks squad, meaning his absence will open up a big chunk of additional playing time for the rest of the crew. Josh Hart, Landry Shamet, and Jordan Clarkson are set to benefit the most from Anunoby's absence.

OG Anunoby Suffers Hamstring Injury on Friday Night

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hamstring) didn't return to Friday's NBA Cup win over the Miami Heat. He logged only five minutes before exiting, finishing with two points and three rebounds. The Knicks were already down Jalen Brunson (ankle), who could miss more time moving ahead. The same might be true for Anunoby, with the team reporting that the 28-year-old suffered a left hamstring strain. He's played as well as expected this season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and a career-high 2.1 assists in 11 appearances. Unfortunately, fantasy managers may not have him on Monday for the rematch with the Heat. Josh Hart may finally work his way into the starting lineup, although he'll still get minutes regardless of his role. Jordan Clarkson and Landry Shamet, combining for 60 points on Friday night, should draw streaming consideration, at least until Anunoby or Brunson are healthy enough to get back on the floor.

OG Anunoby Listed as Probable on Friday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is likely to play again on Friday against the Boston Celtics. He's still listed on the injury report with a left ankle sprain, but has picked up a probable tag. The 28-year-old had the same injury status heading into their season opener and played 38 minutes in the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anunoby went on to post 24 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block. He's a great start in any fantasy format if he's on the floor, especially if Josh Hart (back) or Karl-Anthony Towns (quad) are downgraded from questionable. If something happens and he doesn't suit up, look for Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to get some added minutes off of the bench.

OG Anunoby Available to Play in Season Opener

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is available to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As expected, Anunoby is cleared to play after coming into this game as probable with an ankle injury. The expectation was that he'd play unless something happened pre-game. He'll slide right into the starting five and should be started in basically all fantasy formats. Last season, Anunoby finished with top-40 value and should be able to offer similar value again.

OG Anunoby Likely Available on Wednesday Evening

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is listed as probable heading into Wednesday's opener against the Cavs. The injury report doesn't look good for New York, with the Knicks already ruling out Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and Josh Hart (back). To make matters worse, Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) is questionable. Anunoby is coming off a fantastic season, averaging a career-high 18.0 points with 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. If he's available, he's certainly a must-start in any fantasy format. The 28-year-old would also be in line to smash DFS projections, even more so if KAT can't suit up. However, if Anunoby suffers a setback along the way and can't get out there on Wednesday, Guerschon Yabusele and Miles McBride could see a bump in production.

OG Anunoby Was Inactive for the Knicks' Preseason Opener

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hand) was inactive for the team's Thursday contest in Abu Dhabi against the 76ers. The starting forward sprained his hand yesterday during practice, but the injury is not seen as significant going forward. Pacome Dadiet started in his place, which may have been in an attempt to showcase Dadiet for a potential trade since the Knicks are facing a roster crunch due to the second apron. Anunoby is considered day-to-day at this point, but with Josh Hart (back) also leaving the game with an injury, the injury issues are starting to pile up for the Knicks, who will hope to have everyone healthy when the games start to actually count in just under three weeks.

OG Anunoby Impactful at Both Ends Wednesday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby filled the box score in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, recording 16 points, three rebounds, two assists, three steals, and three blocks in a 138-135 overtime loss. The 2019 NBA champion was impactful at both ends of the floor, although Anunoby's shooting struggles continued with a 6-for-15 effort from the field, which included a 2-for-8 showing from downtown. His shooting efficiency has dropped to 39.7 percent during the postseason, leading to inconsistent performances on the offensive end. Still, the Knicks can always rely on Anunoby for high-level defense, which has kept him on the floor for an average of 40.2 minutes per game in the playoffs.

OG Anunoby Leads Knicks Comeback Monday Night

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby played a vital role in Monday's comeback victory against the Boston Celtics. The Knicks were limited to 45 first-half points but won the game 108-105 in overtime after dominating the second half. 20 of Anunoby's game-high tying 29 points came in the second half, and he also made key plays defensively. Over 46 minutes of action, Anunoby added four rebounds, three assists, and one steal to his tally while shooting 10-for-20 from the field and 6-for-11 from behind the arc. Anunoby's performances were inconsistent during the first-round series against the Detroit Pistons, but he appears to have found his mojo recently, averaging 23.3 points with 52 percent three-point shooting over his last three outings.

OG Anunoby Good To Go For Game 1

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (thumb) will suit up for Saturday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons. Due to a right thumb sprain, Anunoby sat out two of the final three regular-season games, but the team has not listed him on the injury report ahead of Saturday's Game 1. Anunoby had higher offensive usage late in the regular season and averaged a career-high 18.0 points for the year. But fantasy managers should not expect similar postseason numbers with Jalen Brunson (ankle) back in the lineup.

OG Anunoby, Josh Hart Will Play On Friday

New York Knicks forwards OG Anunoby (thumb) and Josh Hart (knee) will play on Friday against the Cavaliers. Anunoby and Hart weren't available for Thursday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. As a result, Miles McBride and Precious Achiuwa moved into the starting lineup, with the duo combining for 30 points, 12 boards, nine assists, six steals, and three blocks. While the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) should keep them involved, they aren't expected to be nearly as productive for DFS managers.
