OG Anunoby Returns to Action Thursday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day. He skipped Tuesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore left ankle. Anunoby had a big performance in this season's first meeting with the Cavaliers, notching 24 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals. Recently, he has dealt with some efficiency issues, averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in December. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) also back for the Knicks on Thursday, Mitchell Robinson and Tyler Kolek will be relegated to the bench.

OG Anunoby Ruled Out for Tuesday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) won't suit up for Tuesday's encounter with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He has landed on the injury report with a sore left ankle, indicating that Anunoby isn't dealing with anything serious. It looks like the team simply wants to give him some rest before facing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day. Guerschon Yabusele (illness) also won't play on Tuesday, making it likely that Mohamed Diawara will log his second career start. It's a great opportunity to impress for the 20-year-old rookie, but fantasy managers should tame their expectations. In his first career start, Diaward settled for five points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

OG Anunoby Available Against Indiana

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (knee) will play on Thursday against the Pacers. The former Raptor had a fantastic showing in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the Spurs, amassing 28 points and nine rebounds while shooting 5-for-10 from behind the arc. The Knicks won't have Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Josh Hart (abdomen), and Mitchell Robinson (ankle), so Anunoby should be very busy versus an Indiana team that hasn't looked good defensively throughout the 2025 campaign.

OG Anunoby Listed as Questionable for Thursday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (knee) is considered questionable for Thursday's tilt against the Indiana Pacers. After starring in the 2025 NBA Cup final, Anunoby has landed on the injury report due to a left knee contusion. Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Josh Hart (abdominal), and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) are also on the injury list as questionable, so the Knicks could have a very different look on Thursday night. Bench players such as Jordan Clarkson, Tyler Kolek, and Guerschon Yabusele must be ready to take on larger workloads.

OG Anunoby Returns to Knicks LIneup Friday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hamstring) will return from a nine-game absence on Friday against the Utah Jazz, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. He has been named a starter for the matchup. The Knicks initially listed Anunoby as questionable for the game. He has missed a couple of weeks with a hamstring strain, so it would be surprising if Anunoby played big minutes right off the bat. As a result of Anunoby's return, Miles McBride will drop to the bench. He will probably still have a significant role in the rotation, but coming off the bench will make it more difficult for McBride to make a fantasy impact.

OG Anunoby to Sit Out at Least Two Weeks

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hamstring) is expected to be out for a couple of weeks. ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Anunoby will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He will remain behind as the team begins a five-game road trip on Monday night against the Miami Heat. Anunoby averages the fourth-most minutes on the Knicks squad, meaning his absence will open up a big chunk of additional playing time for the rest of the crew. Josh Hart, Landry Shamet, and Jordan Clarkson are set to benefit the most from Anunoby's absence.

OG Anunoby Suffers Hamstring Injury on Friday Night

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (hamstring) didn't return to Friday's NBA Cup win over the Miami Heat. He logged only five minutes before exiting, finishing with two points and three rebounds. The Knicks were already down Jalen Brunson (ankle), who could miss more time moving ahead. The same might be true for Anunoby, with the team reporting that the 28-year-old suffered a left hamstring strain. He's played as well as expected this season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and a career-high 2.1 assists in 11 appearances. Unfortunately, fantasy managers may not have him on Monday for the rematch with the Heat. Josh Hart may finally work his way into the starting lineup, although he'll still get minutes regardless of his role. Jordan Clarkson and Landry Shamet, combining for 60 points on Friday night, should draw streaming consideration, at least until Anunoby or Brunson are healthy enough to get back on the floor.

OG Anunoby Listed as Probable on Friday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is likely to play again on Friday against the Boston Celtics. He's still listed on the injury report with a left ankle sprain, but has picked up a probable tag. The 28-year-old had the same injury status heading into their season opener and played 38 minutes in the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anunoby went on to post 24 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block. He's a great start in any fantasy format if he's on the floor, especially if Josh Hart (back) or Karl-Anthony Towns (quad) are downgraded from questionable. If something happens and he doesn't suit up, look for Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to get some added minutes off of the bench.

OG Anunoby Available to Play in Season Opener

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is available to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As expected, Anunoby is cleared to play after coming into this game as probable with an ankle injury. The expectation was that he'd play unless something happened pre-game. He'll slide right into the starting five and should be started in basically all fantasy formats. Last season, Anunoby finished with top-40 value and should be able to offer similar value again.

OG Anunoby Likely Available on Wednesday Evening

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (ankle) is listed as probable heading into Wednesday's opener against the Cavs. The injury report doesn't look good for New York, with the Knicks already ruling out Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and Josh Hart (back). To make matters worse, Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) is questionable. Anunoby is coming off a fantastic season, averaging a career-high 18.0 points with 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. If he's available, he's certainly a must-start in any fantasy format. The 28-year-old would also be in line to smash DFS projections, even more so if KAT can't suit up. However, if Anunoby suffers a setback along the way and can't get out there on Wednesday, Guerschon Yabusele and Miles McBride could see a bump in production.
