The league handed down the suspension after Alvarado got into a fight with Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams on Saturday night. Alvarado will also sit out the matchup with the Chicago Bulls on New Year's Eve. The reserve guard is averaging 8.3 points, 3.2 assists, and one steal per game. Jordan Poole should see an uptick in minutes off the bench behind starting point guard Jeremiah Fears.

Although Alvarado could find himself starting to begin the 2025 campaign, that may not last once Dejounte Murray (Achilles) is cleared to return. The development of rookie Jeremiah Fears should also be a factor in Alvarado's path to playing time.

Yet, the Pels have plenty of names listed on the injury report, meaning Alvarado could be more productive. Keep him starting in all fantasy formats.

If Alvarado does take the night off on Tuesday, Jordan Hawkins and Antonio Reeves may see increased playing time.
