Keyonte George Ready To Return On Saturday

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) isn't listed on the injury report, which suggests he will be available on Saturday against Denver following a one-game absence. The 20-year-old rookie tried to play through an illness on Monday versus Washington but was able to get through just six minutes of action. He was then out for Wednesday's clash versus Chicago. Utah has committed to starting George for the rest of the way, and he's brought plenty to the table as a member of the first unit. In 25 starts across the campaign, George has averaged 13.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.

Keyonte George Sitting With Illness

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's meeting with the Chicago Bulls. Following six minutes of play during Monday's win over the Washington Wizards, George will be inactive after trying to battle through the illness in that one and look to return for Saturday's clash with the defending-champion Denver Nuggets. The Jazz will lean on Collin Sexton as their primary ball-handler on Wednesday, with one of Jordan Clarkson or Kris Dunn likely entering Utah's first five. But with Alex Caruso patrolling the perimeter, this is a matchup to shy away from for fantasy purposes, as the Bulls are yielding fewer fantasy points to opposing point guards than any other team in 2023-24.

Keyonte George Listed As Questionable For Wednesday

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) is questionable to play on Wednesday versus Chicago. Following an outstanding 31-point effort against Miami at the weekend, George tried to play through an illness on Monday in a clash with Washington, but he lasted only six minutes. Kris Dunn started the second half in George's place. Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson, who returned from an illness of his own, also saw extra action, with the latter lighting up the Wizards with 38 points off the bench. Sexton had 29 points as a starter. Wednesday could be another big night for the pair, as they face a mediocre defensive team.

Keyonte George Will Play Versus Washington

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) has been upgraded from questionable to available for Monday's contest versus Washington. The rookie from Baylor University has won a bout with an illness and looks poised to make a ninth consecutive start on Monday. He's done well in the role recently, averaging 17.3 points and 5.9 assists. The 20-year-old should play an even larger role offensively against the Wizards due to Lauri Markkanen's (quadriceps) absence.

Keyonte George Picks Up Questionable Tag Due To Illness

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) has been added to the injury report as questionable for Monday's game against Washington. The 20-year-old rookie has caught an illness bug, which might force him to miss his seventh game of the season. George has started each of the last eight games with the Jazz, exploding for a couple of 30-point nights. Jordan Clarkson (illness) is poised to return to the lineup and should pick up most of the available minutes if George is out. Talen Horton-Tucker could also benefit in a favorable matchup against a team that gives up a league-high 124.6 points per game.

Keyonte George Scores Career-High 33 Points On Thursday

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George was named the starting point guard until further notice and he delivered a new career-high in scoring before fouling out against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. In the three-point loss, George finished with 33 points on 11-for-22 shooting and 9-for-16 from beyond the arc. He also threw in six assists, two rebounds, three steals, and two turnovers across 41 minutes of playing time. George is quickly becoming a must-roster player, especially following the coaching staff putting their confidence in him as the starting guard over Jordan Clarkson and Kris Dunn. The rookie should be added in all fantasy formats right now.

Keyonte George Set To Start For Rest Of The Way

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George was back in the starting unit on Monday versus Golden State and looks set to remain there for the rest of the season. "It's time," Jazz head coach Will Hardy said postgame. "Keyonte is a big part of our program. Lauri (Markkanen) and John (Collins) and Walker (Kessler), all three of those guys need facilitators to get them the ball and Keyonte has been a really good facilitator on the whole Stepping into that role is ultimately what's best for our team moving forward." George struggled on Monday, posting only five points and four assists with 2-for-10 shooting, but he has excelled in a starting role. In 16 starts across the season, the 20-year-old rookie has averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. He's taking over from Kris Dunn in the starting lineup. However, the move shouldn't affect Dunn too much, as Hardy expects him to still have the same role on the team and play around 20 minutes a night.

Keyonte George, Talen Horton-Tucker Return Tuesday

Utah Jazz guards Keyonte George (foot) and Talen Horton-Tucker (foot) will both be active on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs, with the two playmakers overcoming bouts of left foot inflammation. George will dress for the first time since Dec. 13 after missing six games, but it remains to be seen if he will start. Collin Sexton has fared extremely well of late, averaging 22.9 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.0 threes over his past eight contests. Horton-Tucker missed Utah's last two games but was gaining momentum with double-digit points for eight straight games plus a 19-point, 11-assist double-double last Wednesday. Though Tuesday's game holds the highest implied point total (242.5) of the nine-game slate, the Jazz backcourt has suddenly become crowded, with Jordan Clarkson also returning from a six-game hiatus on Saturday. The DFS value is difficult to parse, but players should want some form of exposure to this attractive game environment.

Keyonte George Remains Sidelined Thursday

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (foot) remains sidelined for Thursday's meeting with the Detroit Pistons as he nurses soreness in his left foot. George is traveling with the team on their five-game road trip, giving him a shot to return from a five-game hiatus on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors. George exited last Wednesday's battle with the New York Knicks, but the Jazz were relieved that the first-round rookie avoided a significant injury after last Thursday's MRI. Collin Sexton is rolling as the primary fantasy beneficiary of George's absence, accumulating at least 20 points in six consecutive games and should continue operating as the Utah backcourt's primary scoring option.

Keyonte George Still Out With Sore Foot, Traveling With Team

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (foot) is out on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he has advanced to on-court activities and is traveling with the team. The 10-17 Jazz are embarking on a five-game road trip, and George's presence with the squad is a sign that he could suit up at some point between now and Dec. 28. George exited last Wednesday's matchup with the New York Knicks due to left foot soreness, but Utah was relieved that the first-round rookie dodged a significant injury after last Thursday's MRI. Collin Sexton is tearing it up in George's absence, averaging 27.0 points on 52.9% field-goal shooting, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 three-pointers in 32.5 minutes over his last four appearances and needs to be rostered in all fantasy formats if he wasn't already. Talen Horton-Tucker is a consolation pickup, averaging 19.3 points, 4.5 assists, 2.3 steals, and 2.0 treys in 27.9 minutes across his last four nights.
