The rookie out of Duke made five consecutive starts for the Jazz before getting injured. John Collins has cemented a spot in the first unit during his absence. Filipowski's return might send Collins back to the second unit, but he has also been productive coming off the bench, so this won't hurt his fantasy value too much.

Utah Jazz center Kyle Filipowski (leg) has been ruled out of Tuesday night's game against the Utah Jazz. Filipowski will now miss his sixth straight game as he deals with a lower leg issue. The rookie has been okay in limited minutes, averaging 7.3 PPG and 4.7 RPG in 19 minutes per game this season. With Filipowski continuing to miss time, expect more minutes overall from Jazz big men Walker Kessler and John Collins. Off the bench, expect Drew Eubanks to get some minutes but he likely won't have a big impact overall. Kessler and Collins will make much stronger fantasy options for those in need.

Filipowski had a decent run as a starter before getting sidelined and might continue to make noise once he's back. John Collins and Walker Kessler will once again do the heavy lifting on the Jazz frontcourt. The Lakers have one of the lowest rebounding rates in the league, making this a decent matchup for Utah's big men. Collins and Kessler each boast three double-doubles from their last four appearances.

However, the situation might be different on Saturday because Walker Kessler (hip) is on the cusp of returning to the lineup.
Utah Jazz forward/center Kyle Filipowski completed Summer League action with a nice double-double, scoring 26 points and recording 11 rebounds in a 98-87 victory over Detroit. The seven-footer from Duke led all players in both categories. He added four assists and two steals for a good all-around line, shooting 8-for-22 from the field with a 3-for-11 record from deep. After struggling in the Salt Lake City Summer League, Filipowski had a strong run in Las Vegas, averaging 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds. However, he clearly needs to work on his shooting after barely making 40 percent of his efforts across eight appearances this summer.
