John Collins Uncertain for Tuesday

Los Angeles Clippers forward/center John Collins (illness) is considered questionable for Tuesday's clash against the Sacramento Kings. He is battling an illness and recently missed his first game of the season. On Tuesday, the Clippers may have to do without Collins for a second consecutive game. With Collins sidelined, Nicolas Batum started in Sunday's win over the Detroit Pistons. The French veteran is likely to remain in the starting unit if Collins doesn't return. Batum had a solid but unspectacular performance on Sunday, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

John Collins Won't Face the Pistons on Sunday Night

Los Angeles Clippers forward John Collins (illness) won't play on Sunday against Detroit. He's not feeling well, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see if he'll return on Tuesday night versus the Sacramento Kings. The Clippers are also down Ivica Zubac (ankle), meaning Ty Lue may continue to rely on Nicolas Batum, who had three points, two boards, and one steal in 30 minutes from off the bench in Friday's win over the Portland Trail Blazers, to spend more time underneath the basket.

John Collins Dealt to Clippers

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Clippers acquired forward/center John Collins from the Utah Jazz on Monday in a three-team deal that sent guard Norman Powell to Miami. The trade also included forwards Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 second-round pick landing in Utah. Collins averaged 19.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals last season. He also shot 39.9% from behind the arc. He was limited to just 40 games due to various injuries. The 27-year-old will likely come off the bench for the Clippers, potentially in a sixth-man role for the upcoming campaign.

John Collins Exercises Player Option

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins exercised his $26.5 million player option. The 27-year-old averaged 19.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals last season. He also shot 39.9% from behind the arc. However, Collins was limited to only 40 games due to various injuries. The Jazz have a developing roster, so the team may prioritize giving their young players the most minutes. That's not to say Collins won't have a role, but fantasy managers may not see consistent production from him during the 2025 campaign. He's also had issues staying off the injury report over the years, which is another red flag.

John Collins Out Again On Sunday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (ankle) won't suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Collins will miss his 16th consecutive contest due to a lingering left ankle issue. Since the start of the new year, he has been on the floor for only 14 games. The 27-year-old veteran forward averaged 19.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per contest in just 40 games during the 2024-25 campaign.

John Collins Out Again On Friday Against Celtics

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (ankle) will miss his fifth consecutive game on Friday while he continues to suffer from a sprained left ankle. The Jazz have fully embraced the youth movement as they head towards better odds in the draft lottery. Since Lauri Markkanen (personal) is also out, Walker Kessler and Kyle Filipowski will likely remain in the starting five like their last game. Filipowski is available in a wider range of leagues and just posted 21 points, four rebounds, and two assists in their last game against the Washington Wizards.

John Collins Out For At Least Two Weeks

The Utah Jazz have announced that forward John Collins (ankle) has suffered a lateral ankle sprain in his left ankle and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The 27-year-old has battled a multitude of injuries this season and appeared in 40 of a possible 66 games so far. The earliest he would be back is March 27 against the Houston Rockets, so Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski will likely see a sizeable boost in minutes in the meantime. Both have been inconsistent, but could be used in short streaming spurts. Sensabaugh averages 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while Filipowski has posted 8.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

John Collins To Remain Sidelined On Wednesday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Collins is set to sit out for the sixth time of the last seven games. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for much at this point, so they have little incentive to play their starters right now. That being said, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski figure to continue playing significant roles in the rotation. Both players are worth a look as streaming options while the Jazz are shorthanded. Filipowski has been the better option between the two forwards lately.

John Collins Misses Meeting With Pistons

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will not be in action on Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Following a three-game absence, Collins was back in the lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he will miss a second straight contest on Monday. The Jazz also remain without Lauri Markkanen (back), which opens up additional playing time for Kenyon Martin Jr, Brice Sensabaugh, and Kyle Filipowski. The latter has posted three double-doubles in the past four games, while Sensabaugh finished among Utah's top scorers in the last game with 21 points. Martin Jr's production has been inconsistent, making him the least appealing fantasy option out of these players.

John Collins Back For Jazz Friday

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will return to action in Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is ready to rejoin the fun after missing three games due to a back problem. Kenyon Martin Jr. and Brice Sensabaugh may see their roles reduced due to Collins' return. Collins has enjoyed a fine campaign in Salt Lake City, averaging 18.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He began the season as a bench contributor but has been a starter for each of his last 28 appearances.
