John Collins Out Again On Friday Against Celtics

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (ankle) will miss his fifth consecutive game on Friday while he continues to suffer from a sprained left ankle. The Jazz have fully embraced the youth movement as they head towards better odds in the draft lottery. Since Lauri Markkanen (personal) is also out, Walker Kessler and Kyle Filipowski will likely remain in the starting five like their last game. Filipowski is available in a wider range of leagues and just posted 21 points, four rebounds, and two assists in their last game against the Washington Wizards.

John Collins Out For At Least Two Weeks

The Utah Jazz have announced that forward John Collins (ankle) has suffered a lateral ankle sprain in his left ankle and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The 27-year-old has battled a multitude of injuries this season and appeared in 40 of a possible 66 games so far. The earliest he would be back is March 27 against the Houston Rockets, so Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski will likely see a sizeable boost in minutes in the meantime. Both have been inconsistent, but could be used in short streaming spurts. Sensabaugh averages 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while Filipowski has posted 8.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

John Collins To Remain Sidelined On Wednesday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Collins is set to sit out for the sixth time of the last seven games. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for much at this point, so they have little incentive to play their starters right now. That being said, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski figure to continue playing significant roles in the rotation. Both players are worth a look as streaming options while the Jazz are shorthanded. Filipowski has been the better option between the two forwards lately.

John Collins Misses Meeting With Pistons

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will not be in action on Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Following a three-game absence, Collins was back in the lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he will miss a second straight contest on Monday. The Jazz also remain without Lauri Markkanen (back), which opens up additional playing time for Kenyon Martin Jr, Brice Sensabaugh, and Kyle Filipowski. The latter has posted three double-doubles in the past four games, while Sensabaugh finished among Utah's top scorers in the last game with 21 points. Martin Jr's production has been inconsistent, making him the least appealing fantasy option out of these players.

John Collins Back For Jazz Friday

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will return to action in Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is ready to rejoin the fun after missing three games due to a back problem. Kenyon Martin Jr. and Brice Sensabaugh may see their roles reduced due to Collins' return. Collins has enjoyed a fine campaign in Salt Lake City, averaging 18.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He began the season as a bench contributor but has been a starter for each of his last 28 appearances.

John Collins Tagged As Questionable For Friday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been tagged as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It appears Collins has a chance of getting back on the court after missing each of the last three games due to back soreness. Fellow forward Lauri Markkanen (back) is also questionable for this game. If they both sit, KJ Martin and Brice Sensabaugh figure to continue playing bigger roles in the rotation. The return of Collins would likely send Martin back to the bench where he wouldn't offer much streaming appeal. Martin is coming off a 16-point outing during his last game, but his days of fantasy relevancy are likely limited.

John Collins Remains Out On Wednesday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Collins will now miss his third game in a row due to a back issue. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for anything this season, so there is no incentive to rush Collins back to the court. However, the Jazz are a bit shorthanded with Lauri Markkanen (back) ruled out and Walker Kessler (illness) listed as questionable for Wednesday's game. That means, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski will likely both see larger roles in the rotation. Both players are worth looking at as streaming options while the Jazz are shorthanded.

John Collins Out For Second Consecutive Game

Utah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) has been ruled out for Monday's meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. He is troubled by back issues and will miss a second consecutive game. Kenyon Martin Jr. filled in for Collins in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Houston Rockets. He put in a decent performance against his former team, notching 11 points and four rebounds in a 125-114 victory. Brice Sensabaugh, Kyle Filipowski, and Cody Williams are also potential beneficiaries of Collins' absence. Another chunk of frontcourt minutes may open up on Monday, as Lauri Markkanen (back) and Walker Kessler (illness) are both listed as questionable for the game.

John Collins Available On Thursday

Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Utah Jazz forward John Collins (illness) is available for Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Due to an illness, he's has been out of action for three straight contests. The 27-year-old could see his restricted in his return. However, with him coming back this evening, Micah Potter and Brice Sensabaugh's minutes on the floor will be reduced. Potter and Sensabaugh have taken on more significant roles while Collins was on the shelf.

John Collins Tagged As Questionable For Thursday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Collins has missed the last three games and actually has only played in two games since the beginning of the month. That being said, fantasy managers shouldn't be shocked if Collins misses another game. The Jazz have been using a committee approach to help fill the void while Collins is out. That means, Drew Eubanks, Kyle Filipowski, and Brice Sensabaugh should all see increased roles if Collins misses another game. Out of the trio, Sensabaugh offers the most streaming appeal right now.
