Daniss Jenkins Contributes 19 Points As Starter

Detroit Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins finished as the team's second-highest scorer in Wednesday's clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers, notching 19 points with an 8-for-17 effort from the field in a 117-113 overtime loss. The 24-year-old moved into the starting unit after Duncan Robinson (back) was ruled out for the contest. Jenkins, who finished 2-for-8 with the three-ball, had a quiet start but ultimately put together a strong performance, capping off his line with two rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks. Before Wednesday night, Jenkins had scored just two points in back-to-back games, so he'll enter Friday's Game 6 with renewed confidence, regardless of his role.

Daniss Jenkins Moves into Starting Five

Detroit Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins will move into the starting five ahead of Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. Jenkins should get a heavier look down the stretch of the season with Cade Cunningham (lung) set to miss an extended period of time. The second-year guard finished with 15 points and seven assists across 21 minutes of action during Tuesday's game. As a starter, Jenkins is averaging 14.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 31.4 minutes per game across eight starts. The 24-year-old should be a popular pickup with Cunningham unlikely to play again this season. Jenkins has enough upside to warrant snagging off the waivers for fantasy managers in the middle of the playoffs.

Daniss Jenkins, Pistons Agree on a Two-Year Deal

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Detroit Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins agreed to a two-year deal with the club. The 24-year-old went undrafted in 2024 and has been operating on two-way contracts with Detroit ever since. He played sparingly as a rookie. However, it's been a different story this season, with Jenkins averaging 15.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 1.1 steals in seven starts. With Jaden Ivey no longer in the picture, Jenkins should remain in line for a stable role from off the bench. He'll also presumably continue to start when necessary. With that said, unless Jenkins is with the first-five, he's hard to trust as a starting fantasy option on a day-to-day basis.

Daniss Jenkins Agrees to Two-Way Deal Wth Detroit

According to Keith Smith of Spotrac.com, forward Daniss Jenkins agreed to a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Jenkins played in just seven regular-season Pistons games during last year's NBA campaign. He spent most of 2024-25 in the G League with the Motor City Cruise, averaging 18.5 points, 6.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals across 35.7 minutes per contest during 47 outings. The 23-year-old won't factor into fantasy as he will likely spend most of 2025-26 once again in the G League.

Daniss Jenkins Rocks Houston With 26 Points

Detroit Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins erupted for 26 points in Monday's 87-73 Summer League win against the Houston Rockets. The St. John's product nailed more triples (6) than the Rockets combined (5) and finished 8-for-16 overall from the field while netting all four free throws. He grabbed three rebounds, handed out four assists, and made valuable plays defensively by logging a steal and two blocks. Jenkins went undrafted last month but landed himself a two-way deal with the Pistons. He will likely need to settle for G League action in 2024-25, with Detroit's backcourt looking fairly crowded.
