Bryce McGowens News
Charlotte Hornets guard Bryce McGowens (knee) won't be available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic. This marks the sixth game in a row that McGowens has missed due to swelling his in right knee. The absence of McGowens should open up additional playing time for Davis Bertans in the rotation. Bertans doesn't offer great upside outside of 3-pointers, so most fantasy managers can stay away. There should be better streaming options available for Tuesday's slate.
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Bryce McGowens (knee) has been listed as out for Monday's matchup against Detroit. The 21-year-old will miss a second consecutive game due to right knee inflammation. Playing in his second year in the Association, McGowens has posted 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15.8 minutes across 50 games. The former Nebraska Cornhusker has joined a lengthy list of injuries in Charlotte, with Seth Curry (ankle), Cody Martin (ankle), Mark Williams (back), and LaMelo Ball (ankle) all currently out of the lineup. The injuries have given Vasilije Micic and Grant Williams opportunities in the starting unit, while Davis Bertans has started to lead the second unit. He's averaging 12.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for the month.
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Bryce McGowens (ankle) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's season opener against Atlanta. The 20-year-old is carrying a sprained left ankle, and it looks like he will have to sit out the game. He hurt his ankle during a workout in late September. McGowens' absence shouldn't affect things in fantasy hoops. The Nebraska product played 46 games during his rookie campaign last season, averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 17.1 minutes.
Charlotte Hornets guard Bryce McGowens (ankle) suffered a minor injury during a workout last week. It appears McGowens suffered a sprained ankle that will limit him for the beginning of training camp. The 20-year-old appeared in 46 contests with the Hornets last season. During that time, he averaged 5.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 17.1 minutes per game. He'll have more competition this season as the team has improved at the guard spot. It seems unlikely that McGowens is going to offer fantasy value to begin the season. However, he should be healthy by the start of the regular season.
