Saddiq Bey News
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey was back in action in Monday's preseason contest against Indiana, leading all scorers with 21 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds. His impressive outing included two steals in 20 minutes off the bench in a 116-112 loss. Bey, who shot 7-for-10 from the field and 2-for-3 from behind the arc Monday, had sat out the previous two preseason contests. Following his trade from Detroit to Atlanta, Bey's fantasy value took a significant hit last season, as he went from a starter to a bench piece, but with John Collins out of the way, the 24-year-old has a chance to become a starter again for his first full season as a Hawk.
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey is set to make his team debut on Monday versus the Charlotte Hornets. It's worth noting that he hasn't actually practiced with his new team since the trade from the Detroit Pistons. That being said, Bey might not get a full workload during his team debut. Although, John Collins (hip) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (hip) are both questionable, so Bey could be forced into a bigger role than expected right away. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to game time for another update on their status.
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey (trade pending) is officially questionable to play his first game in a Hawks uniform on Monday. The four-team deal finally became official after some drama surrounding Gary Payton II's injury on Sunday. The 23-year-old has averaged 14.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game so far this season and he'll look to add another shooting option alongside Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. His fantasy upside won't be as high as it was in Detroit, but he can still deliver threes, rebounds, and steals in 12-to-14-team leagues.
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey cashed in his 12th 20-point game of the season as the team grabbed a 130-122 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. The Villanova product finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and three assists while shooting 10-for-19 from the floor and 5-for-8 from three. He had a bit of a rough stretch early on this year but has seemingly started to get back to the level we saw last season. His shooting percentages aren't great, but this is still just his third season and he can be a solid asset in dynasty formats as well as deeper redraft leagues.
