He went 7-for-9 from three-point range and 11-for-18 from the field overall on the way to a game-high 31 points. He also added four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Plus, he knocked down each of his two free throw attempts. The second-year pro has clearly established himself as the team's second-best piece beside rookie sensation Cade Cunningham. Bey is averaging 16.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 three-pointers per game on the year. His next game will be on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Detroit Pistons small forward Saddiq Bey logged 23 points and eight rebounds during a 144-109 blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Villanova product did most of his damage from the line, shooting 12-for-14 from the stripe, but he shot just 31.3% from the field for his other 11 tallies. The 22-year-old also added an assist and steal across 41 minutes. While Bey has taken on a bigger role in his second season, his poor shooting ratios -- 36.7% from the field and 30.9 from deep -- have hindered a true breakout campaign, although he's improved his per-game averages in rebounding, assists, steals and scoring.
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey had another very good outing against Miami on Sunday, going for a game-high 26 points on 7-for-13 shooting in a 100-90 win. He hit half of his six attempts from deep and went 9-for-10 at the line while picking up four rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes. Bey is now averaging 25.7 points per game over his last three appearances. He's been logging some very heavy minutes as well lately and it will likely remain so until Jerami Grant (thumb) can make it back on the court, which will take a while.
