Devin Vassell News
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (ankle) has been ruled out of Saturday's matchup versus the Clippers. He is bothered by some left ankle soreness and is forced to come out of the lineup right after having a nice 29-point night against Sacramento. The 22-year-old is having a breakthrough campaign, averaging 20.4 points for the season with 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists. With him unavailable, Keldon Johnson should be able to get some extra shots, while Josh Richardson might be able to see 30 minutes for the first time this month. The latter logged his only two starts of the campaign during Vassell's four-game absence a few weeks ago, averaging 11.5 points with 4.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals.
San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell tied his career-high points in a game on Thursday night in the team's 112-130 loss to the Sacramento Kings. The 22-year-old registered 29 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 11-for-19 from the floor and 4-for-9 from beyond the arc. Whenever Keldon Johnson is held out, Vassell sees an increase in minutes and usage. This game was no different. He's a must-add in all formats and his value is even higher when it comes to dynasty leagues.
San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (knee) will miss his fourth game in a row on Wednesday night, but has begun reconditioning. He should be back soon and fantasy managers should stay tuned to see when a more firm timeline will come out. For now, with Keldon Johnson also out, Doug McDermott and Josh Richardson are the best two to get as streaming options. Once Vassell comes back, along with Johnson, those two will go back to being a limited fantasy asset.
San Antonio Spurs guards Devin Vassell (knee) and Joshua Primo (glute) are listed as out Friday against the Chicago Bulls. Both Vassell and Primo will miss their second consecutive games with their respective ailments and should be considered questionable moving forward. Josh Richardson will likely see another start and is worth a look in both DFS and season long leagues. In his last start, Richardson posted a full lines of 11 points, 10 assists, three rebounds, two steals, two threes and a block in 33 minutes.
