Devin Vassell News
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (knee) will miss Wednesday's game against Dallas. The Spurs are maneuvering through a back-to-back set and Vassell drops out of the lineup after posting 10 points with six rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes Tuesday against Orlando. The team is trying to manage a left knee problem with Vassell. Malaki Branham (shoulder) could be set for a big night in Vassell's absence, but he is regarded as questionable for the contest and might also sit out the game. In the end, it might be Keita Bates-Diop who benefits the most from San Antonio's lineup issues Wednesday.
San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (knee) won't play on Saturday against the Rockets. Vassell returned on Thursday versus the Indiana Pacers after missing two months because of left knee surgery. He played well, finishing the evening with 18 points in 23 minutes from the bench. Vassell will likely be back in the lineup for Sunday's rematch with Houston. However, the Spurs will be shorthanded entering this one, with Doug McDermott (thumb) and Isaiah Roby (ankle) already ruled out. At the same time, Keldon Johnson (foot) is doubtful, while Malaki Branham (back) is questionable. As a result, Jeremy Sochan, who scored a team-high 22 points on Thursday, Zach Collins, and Devonte' Graham could end up leading the way offensively.
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (knee) has received the all-clear to return to the lineup Thursday against Indiana. He hasn't played since Jan. 2, missing 25 games. A left knee problem halted a very good season, as Vassell has been averaging a career-high 19.4 points per game with 4.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists. The team will likely try to take it easy with Vassell in his first game back, but he should eventually get back to averaging over 30 minutes per game, with Malaki Branham (back) and Blake Wesley having to settle for lesser roles.
San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (knee) is expected to make his return to the court on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers. Vassell hasn't appeared in a game since January 2nd. He underwent knee surgery a few days later, but has been targeting March 2nd as his return date. The expectation is that the Spurs are going to have Vassell on a heavy minutes limit. Keita Bates-Diop should still be able to hold fantasy value while Vassell is working his way back up to full speed. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday for another update.
