Jaren Jackson Jr. Posts Team-High 26 Points In Tuesday's Loss

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a team-high 26 points on 10-for-17 shooting in Tuesday's 118-99 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jackson Jr. capped off his line with six rebounds as he bounced back impressively from his four-point effort in Game 1, going 2-for-3 from three-point land and 4-for-6 at the charity stripe. The two-time All-Star delivered an efficient scoring performance, yet he finished with the game's worst plus/minus at minus-20. Memphis needs much more from him defensively, as Jackson Jr. has yet to register a block in the series and has one steal across two games.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Available Against Warriors

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (back) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's play-in game against the Golden State Warriors. Due to a back issue, Jackson Jr. did not play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Dallas Mavericks, joining a host of key players on the sidelines. Memphis will have everyone back in the lineup on Tuesday as the team aims to return to the playoffs after a one-year absence. The matchup against the Warriors has suited Jackson Jr. this season, as he has raised his averages to 23.5 points and 7.0 rebounds against them.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Returning On Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) will play on Friday versus Cleveland. He suffered a sprained ankle in the March 3 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. As a result, the 25-year-old missed the last five games. Before going down, Jackson was having an excellent season, averaging 22.7 points, a career-high, with 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 steals. It's unknown if he'll see a minutes restriction. However, Jackson should be back starting in all fantasy lineups, with GG Jackson II heading back to the bench.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Could Return On Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) has a chance to return from a five-game absence after being listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former Defensive Player of the Year sprained his ankle on March 3 against the Atlanta Hawks and hasn't been able to take the court since then. If he's unable to suit up, Zach Edey and GG Jackson II should remain as the starting frontcourt. Brandon Clarke should also see some more opportunities off of the bench, but Edey provides the most stability with 9.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Week-To-Week With A Sprained Ankle

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) suffered a Grade 2 left ankle sprain in Monday's meeting with the Hawks. He is considered week-to-week, with the Grizzlies providing an update "as appropriate." The 25-year-old has averaged a career-high 22.7 points with 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 steals during the 2024-25 campaign. He was also named an All-Star for the second time in his career. But now that he'll be on the shelf, Brandon Clarke, amassing 11 points, seven boards, and one block against Atlanta, could work his way back into a consistent role in the rotation. Clarke may even get a few starts, at least until Santi Aldama (calf), who is questionable against OKC on Wednesday, is cleared to suit up. GG Jackson II may also be in line for more work, with Desmond Bane and Ja Morant (shoulder) the favorites to carry more of the load on the offensive end.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Will Suit Up Versus Houston

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) will suit up versus the Rockets on Thursday. The 25-year-old missed the first two games of the 2024-25 campaign. However, he's been on the court ever since, with that trend continuing on Thursday against Houston. Jackson has had a fantastic season, averaging a career-high 22.7 points with 6.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.5 steals, making him a must-start in all fantasy formats despite a challenging matchup against a Rockets team that has allowed only 106.8 points per game, the third-best in the National Basketball Association.

Jaren Jackson Jr. May Sit On Thursday Due To Thigh Soreness

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) has picked up a questionable tag ahead of Thursday's matchup against Houston. He is nursing thigh soreness and might be out of action for the first time since missing the first two games of the season. Jay Huff was promoted to the starting unit for the second half against Dallas on Monday, and Jackson Jr.'s absence could give him further momentum. Brandon Clarke and Jake LaRavia might also benefit, while Santi Aldama (ankle) is on the comeback trail and is definitely a candidate to put in a big shift on the frontcourt.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Officially Out On Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. As expected, Jackson will miss his second straight game due to a hamstring issue. It sounds like Jackson is trending in the right direction, so hopefully he's available for Saturday's contest versus the Orlando Magic. Santi Aldama figures to remain in the starting five for at least one more game. He finished with 27 points, five rebounds, and two assists across 31 minutes in the season opener. Aldama is looking like a reliable streaming option until Jackson is ready to play again.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Not Expected To Play Versus Houston

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) is doubtful for Friday's meeting with the Houston Rockets. The 25-year-old continues to battle a hamstring strain. He wasn't available for the opener on Wednesday, although Santi Aldama filled the void admirably by finishing with 27 points off 10-for-16 shooting (5-for-10 from deep). Jackson is inching his way back to the floor. But until he returns, Aldama could continue to benefit offensively.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Set To Miss Season Opener

Memphis Grizzlies center/forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) is expected to miss the team's season opener on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said that the former Defensive Player of the Year will be out while he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. He is expected back later this week, so his absence shouldn't last that long. Santi Aldama would likely move into the starting power forward spot while Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke should both see increased opportunities.
