Jaren Jackson Jr. Officially Out On Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. As expected, Jackson will miss his second straight game due to a hamstring issue. It sounds like Jackson is trending in the right direction, so hopefully he's available for Saturday's contest versus the Orlando Magic. Santi Aldama figures to remain in the starting five for at least one more game. He finished with 27 points, five rebounds, and two assists across 31 minutes in the season opener. Aldama is looking like a reliable streaming option until Jackson is ready to play again.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Not Expected To Play Versus Houston

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) is doubtful for Friday's meeting with the Houston Rockets. The 25-year-old continues to battle a hamstring strain. He wasn't available for the opener on Wednesday, although Santi Aldama filled the void admirably by finishing with 27 points off 10-for-16 shooting (5-for-10 from deep). Jackson is inching his way back to the floor. But until he returns, Aldama could continue to benefit offensively.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Set To Miss Season Opener

Memphis Grizzlies center/forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) is expected to miss the team's season opener on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said that the former Defensive Player of the Year will be out while he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. He is expected back later this week, so his absence shouldn't last that long. Santi Aldama would likely move into the starting power forward spot while Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke should both see increased opportunities.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Battling Low-Level Hamstring Strain

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) has been diagnosed with a low-level hamstring strain following an MRI. The former Defensive Player of the Year left the first practice of training camp after experiencing tightness in his hamstring. Head coach Taylor Jenkins described the MRI results as "good news," and emphasized there are "no concerns" about Jackson Jr. being ready for the regular-season opener. Jenkins also noted, "He's already responded well to treatment," and the team will work with the performance staff to determine his return-to-play timeline. Jackson Jr. will focus on recovery in the meantime.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Dealing With Hamstring Tightness

According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (hamstring) left Tuesday's practice after experiencing hamstring tightness. Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins confirmed Jackson will get an MRI exam to learn the extent of the injury. "We're anticipating a strain," Jenkins said. If the 25-year-old misses significant time, it will be a big blow to Memphis, as he averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 32.3 minutes across 66 regular-season games last year.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Will Not Play Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) will not suit up for Friday's match-up with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a right quadriceps injury. He will miss his fifth consecutive game and will likely not play another minute this season, as the Grizzlies are out of playoff contention. Injuries are nothing new for Memphis this year, as they continue to rely on many inexperienced players. Their frontout remains thin as Brandon Clarke (hand) is also out for Friday's contest. Fantasy managers can expect Trey Jemison to handle a heavy workload once again, as he played 36 minutes last game.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Out For Third Straight Game

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) has been ruled out for a third consecutive game as the team gears up to meet San Antonio on Tuesday. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is nursing a right quadriceps injury. Santi Aldama (foot) is also on the shelf, resulting in big minutes to the likes of Trey Jemison, Maozinha Pereira, and GG Jackson II. Brandon Clarke also benefits in the situation, although his minutes are closely monitored following his comeback from an Achilles tear. However, Clarke has been productive when on the court, tallying 10.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks. Memphis' big men face a difficult challenge against Victor Wembanyama on Tuesday.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Ruled Out Friday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This seems odd considering Jackson has been playing in basically every game since the middle of March. Possibly, the Grizzlies feel that it's time to give Jackson a rest day. Regardless, the absence of Jackson will open up significant playing time in the rotation. GG Jackson, Lamar Stevens, and Jake LaRavia figure to benefit the most with Jackson sidelined. Between the trio, Jackson is the best streaming option out of the reserves.

Jaren Jackson Jr. To Play On Saturday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) is available ahead of Saturday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jackson has been cleared to play after sitting out during Wednesday's game due to a right quad issue. Trey Jemison should shift back to the second unit with Jackson returning on Saturday. Fantasy managers should feel safe about plugging Jackson back in their lineups for Saturday's slate.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Iffy For Saturday

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) might be out for another game on Saturday against Oklahoma City, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. The NBA's reigning Defensive Player of the Year has already been unavailable for the past two games. Trey Jemison has picked up a pair of starts this week and should get another opportunity on Saturday if Jackson Jr. isn't ready to return. He's played well and is looking at a potential crush spot, as OKC has one of the lowest rebounding rates in the league.
