Jaren Jackson Jr. News
The Memphis Grizzlies will be giving Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Steven Adams and Kyle Anderson a rest day on Saturday as the team faces the Atlanta Hawks. All four players took the court in Thursday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Morant and Adams each logged a team-high 24 minutes in the game and both delivered strong games. Adams put up 15 points and 16 boards while Morant compiled 16 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two blocks. Desmond Bane and De'Anthony Melton are solid DFS targets for Saturday. The duo combined for six threes and 30 points in Thursday's game.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (rest) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It's the front end of a back-to-back set, so the Grizzlies will take the cautious approach here. It sounds like he'll be available for Thursday's game. In the meantime, Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman will see more playing time on Wednesday. Clarke is the better streaming option between the two and could have some DFS appeal as well.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) will rest on Friday against Orlando. The 21-year-old will get the night off against the Magic as he continues to work his way back to full capacity after having surgery to repair a torn left meniscus back in August. Without him, Brandon Clarke will likely be the one to benefit the most, although Xavier Tillman Sr. should also get some extra minutes.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (injury management) will sit out on Sunday against Portland. The 21-year-old will get the game off to rest as he continues to work his way back from a torn meniscus. With the team also potentially without Jonas Valanciunas (concussion), Xavier Tillman Sr. and Brandon Clarke may be doing most of the heavy lifting underneath the basket.
