Jaylon Tyson Returning Versus Indiana

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson (concussion) will play on Friday versus the Pacers. He was having an above-average year before missing the last five games, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals while shooting 46.2% from behind the arc. He was also receiving some action as a member of the starting lineup. Although it's nice to see any player back on the floor after an injury, Tyson's fantasy value may be at lowest of the season, considering he'll likely see limited minutes. In addition, Darius Garland (toe) is available, so the 22-year-old may have a tougher time staying involved.

Jaylon Tyson Tagged as Questionable on Friday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson (concussion) drew a questionable status heading into Friday's NBA Cup game against the Indiana Pacers. The second-year guard has seen a sizeable jump in all of his stats across the board, and has seen a big increase in playing time. He's missed the last five games due to a concussion, but has a chance to return to the court now. If he's able to suit up, there could be plenty of minutes available with Darius Garland (toe) also questionable and Sam Merrill (hand) ruled out. On the other hand, De'Andre Hunter and Nae'Qwan Tomlin will see more minutes in the starting five if Tyson is downgraded. Hunter would be the more consistent streaming option after registering 25 points, four rebounds, two assists, and five threes in his last game.

Jaylon Tyson Set to Miss Third Straight Game

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jaylon Tyson (head) will miss his third straight game on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies, as he remains in concussion protocol. The second-year wing was carving out a meaningful role before the injury, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 25.8 minutes while shooting 48.9% from the field and 46.2% from three. With Tyson sidelined, and Darius Garland (toe) and Max Strus (foot) also out, Donovan Mitchell should continue to carry a heavy usage load, while De'Andre Hunter remains locked into big minutes. Deep-league managers can look at Sam Merrill and Craig Porter Jr. as speculative streaming options until Tyson is cleared to return.

Jaylon Tyson Will Miss a Second Straight Game on Thursday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Jaylon Tyson (concussion) will not be ready to return for Thursday night's matchup with the Raptors. Tyson averaged 25.9 minutes per game in his first 11 games this season, including seven starts. He chipped in 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. His next chance to return will be Saturday against Memphis. While he's out on Thursday, Craig Porter Jr., Dean Wade, and De'Andre Hunter should get more opportunities against Toronto.

Jaylon Tyson Out with Concussion

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jaylon Tyson (head) has been ruled out Wednesday against the Miami Heat due to a concussion. It's an untimely setback for Cleveland, who are already missing Darius Garland (toe), Donovan Mitchell (rest), and Evan Mobley (rest). Tyson has quietly been one of the Cavaliers' bright spots, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 2.2 threes per game on an efficient 48.9 percent shooting from the field and 46.2 percent from deep. He's been producing steady two-way value even when Garland was briefly active, showing poise and defensive versatility. With Tyson sidelined, expect Sam Merrill and De'Andre Hunter to see more wing minutes and perimeter looks, while Lonzo Ball and Craig Porter Jr. handle additional playmaking duties. Tyson's concussion will likely cost him multiple games, making him a hold in deeper formats but a temporary drop candidate in standard leagues if roster flexibility is limited.

Jaylon Tyson Sidelined On Tuesday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Jaylon Tyson (knee) has been ruled out of Tuesday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers due to a knee injury. Tyson is set to miss his third consecutive contest due to left knee soreness. He hasn't been playing much lately, so his absence won't have a huge impact on the Cleveland Cavaliers. This season, Tyson has been averaging 3.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists.

Jaylon Tyson Nearly Perfect From The Floor

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jaylon Tyson has been making his presence known during the Summer League. On Saturday, Tyson dropped 23 points on 9-of-10 field goal attempts with five rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes of action. It was a bit surprising to see the Cavs take the Cal product so early in the draft. He was selected 20th overall but is looking like a good pickup at the moment. Despite that, Tyson is unlikely to have a big role in the rotation during his first season in Cleveland.
