Thomas Bryant Cleared for Game 3

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) is available for Thursday's Eastern Conference first-round Game 3 against Toronto after being upgraded earlier in the day. He has not played since early April, so his role remains uncertain and likely limited off the bench behind Jarrett Allen. Bryant's return is not expected to change Cleveland's rotation much, with Allen and Evan Mobley continuing to handle most frontcourt minutes. Bryant is not a DFS option due to workload concerns, while Mobley remains the stronger play given his consistent production.

Thomas Bryant Iffy for Game 3

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) is questionable for Thursday's Eastern Conference first-round Game 3 against Toronto after missing the last six games. If active, he is expected to handle a limited bench role behind Jarrett Allen. His return should have minimal impact on Cleveland's rotation, with Allen and Evan Mobley continuing to log steady minutes in the frontcourt. Bryant is not a DFS target due to his uncertain workload, while Mobley remains the stronger DFS option given his broader stat profile.

Thomas Bryant to Remain Out Monday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) will remain sidelined on Monday against the Toronto Raptors. He suffered a left-calf injury late in the regular season and was also out for Game 1 against Toronto. With Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley healthy, Bryant's absence doesn't mean much for the Cavaliers, and he likely won't be rushed back. Even with Bryant out of the lineup, Larry Nance Jr. saw only garbage-time minutes in the series opener and probably won't have a regular role this postseason.

Thomas Bryant Won't Play Saturday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) will remain out on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors. He suffered a left calf strain late during the regular season and won't be in the lineup for a fifth consecutive game. Bryant has practiced in a limited capacity this week, so it's possible he can return later in the series. With Bryant unavailable, Larry Nance Jr. returned to the rotation for the final few regular-season games, but he isn't expected to see much action in the playoffs.

Thomas Bryant Practices in Limited Capacity Wednesday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Danny Cunningham of Locked On Cavs reports. The 28-year-old big man was the only player with limitations during the practice session. Bryant injured his left calf late in the regular season, missing four games. He's in a race to get healthy for the start of the postseason, with Cleveland kicking off its first-round series against Toronto on Saturday. Serving as the backup center, Bryant notched 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game during the regular season. Cleveland could use Bryant's size against Jakob Poeltl, but he isn't expected to make a major impact in the series.

Thomas Bryant Misses Wednesday's Game

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant (calf) won't be part of the rotation on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks. He has been ruled out for a second consecutive game due to a left calf strain. Muscle injuries can be hard to heal, so Cleveland might also begin the playoffs without Bryant. Larry Nance Jr. has a bigger role without Bryant and should be fired up against his former team on Wednesday. Still, with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley healthy, Nance Jr. is unlikely to make a fantasy impact.

Thomas Bryant Unavailable on Monday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Thomas Bryant is out for Monday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. Bryant is set to miss tonight's action due to calf injury maintenance. The 28-year-old big man logged 14 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and one block in 26 minutes during Sunday's win over Indiana. His next chance to suit up is on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Thomas Bryant Agrees to a Deal With the Cavaliers

Free-agent center Thomas Bryant has agreed to a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he'll back up the big men in Cleveland after spending last year with the Heat and the Pacers. He'll be starting his ninth NBA season after playing some important minutes down the stretch last season for Indiana. He made eight starts in his 56 games with the Pacers, averaging 6.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.6 blocks in 15.1 minutes per game. He will serve as depth behind Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley with his new team, but he could be worth a look if either goes down due to injury. Bryant has been productive for short stretches throughout his career, but doesn't typically log heavy minutes.

Thomas Bryant Set to Move to Greece

Center Thomas Bryant looks ready to pause his NBA career. Reports in Europe indicate that Bryant is in advanced negotiations with Panathinaikos, the 2024 EuroLeague champions. The Greek powerhouse was previously linked with Jonas Valanciunas this offseason. However, the Lithuanian has now committed himself to the Denver Nuggets, and Panathinaikos has gone after another NBA big man. Bryant, who won the NBA championship with the Nuggets in 2023, split the 2024-25 season between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. The eight-year veteran averaged 6.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.6 minutes.

Thomas Bryant Traded To Indiana

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Heat have agreed to trade center Thomas Bryant to the Pacers. In exchange, Indiana will swap a future second-round pick with Miami. The 27-year-old has averaged only 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds this season. But with James Wiseman (Achilles) and Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) both sidelined, the team needed another big. While Bryant won't start unless Myles Turner isn't available, he should see more playing time in Indiana. Still, unless he finds himself with the first five, his contributions could be sporadic.
