Craig Porter Jr. Cleared To Play On Saturday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Craig Porter Jr. (thumb) has been cleared to play ahead of Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Porter hasn't played in each of the last three games due to a right thumb sprain. He's available on Saturday, but hasn't seen more than eight minutes when healthy. However, Caris LeVert (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game. That should mean more minutes for Porter in the rotation, but he won't be a reliable streaming option with the Cavs mostly healthy.

Craig Porter Jr. Listed As Doubtful For Friday

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Craig Porter Jr. (thumb) is listed as doubtful for Friday night's matchup against the Orlando Magic. Porter is dealing with a thumb strain that has kept him out of Cleveland's last two games. Even when active, though, the 24-year-old has only gotten minutes during garbage time. Cleveland is likely to give Porter enough time to properly heal given their hot start and lack of need for additional production from their guard positions. Caris LeVert, Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill have all clearly shown they are more dynamic options in front of Porter. Fantasy managers looking for value off Cleveland's bench should set their sights on one of these three guards rather than Porter.

Craig Porter Jr. Logs Full Line On Sunday

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Craig Porter Jr. had an impressive all-around outing in the Las Vegas Summer League on Sunday, leading his team to a 112-81 victory over Milwaukee. The 24-year-old netted 15 points with 5-for-7 shooting and had six rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block across 21 minutes on the floor. Porter Jr. did well at times during his rookie campaign in 2023-24 but averaged only 12.7 minutes per game. Good efforts in the Summer League could help him get closer to a more regular role. He has registered 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in 22.2 minutes through two games in Las Vegas.

Craig Porter Jr. Remains Out On Wednesday

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Craig Porter Jr. (ankle) will remain on the shelf Wednesday versus Boston. He has been downgraded from doubtful to out. After featuring in 51 games during the regular season, Porter Jr. has not seen any action in the playoffs due to a sprained left ankle. With Donovan Mitchell (calf) and Caris LeVert (knee) also out, Darius Garland and Max Strus are set to carry huge workloads on the Cavaliers' backcourt Wednesday as the team tries to stave off elimination.

Craig Porter Jr. Listed As Doubtful For Wednesday

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Craig Porter Jr. (ankle) has been listed as doubtful on the injury report ahead of Game 5 against the Celtics on Wednesday. The 24-year-old injured his left ankle in the team's regular-season finale and hasn't yet played in the playoffs. However, it looks like Porter Jr. could be available again for Cleveland on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will need all the warm bodies they can get if Donovan Mitchell (calf), Caris LeVert (knee), and Jarrett Allen (rib) can't shake off questionable tags.

Craig Porter Jr. Ruled Out For Game 1

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Craig Porter Jr. (ankle) won't play in Saturday's postseason clash with the Magic. He tweaked his ankle during Cleveland's final game of the regular season. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear Porter will be back anytime soon, with head coach J.B. Bickerstaff reporting that the 24-year-old is currently on crutches. With that said, the Cavs will have Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland handling things in the backcourt, so Porter wasn't figured to see much action anyway.

Craig Porter Jr. Likely To Return On Saturday

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Craig Porter Jr. (illness) will likely be back in the lineup on Saturday against the Lakers, as the team has listed him as probable for the matchup. The young guard has been battling an illness lately, missing four games. Porter Jr., who went undrafted last summer out of Wichita State, has demonstrated good upside during his rookie campaign, but he doesn't have any fantasy value with a healthy Cavaliers backcourt. The 24-year-old averages 5.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists for the season.

Craig Porter Jr. Out Tuesday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Craig Porter Jr. (illness) is unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Utah Jazz due to illness. The 24-year-old has averaged 5.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists across 48 games this season. Porter hasn't been playing much, so his absence shouldn't be a problem for the Cavs. His next chance to suit up will be against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
