Mason Plumlee Heading Back to Charlotte

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Charlotte Hornets signed free-agent center Mason Plumlee to a one-year, $3.6 million contract. The veteran big man played in 74 regular-season contests with the Phoenix Suns during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 4.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game. Going into his 13th NBA season, the 35-year-old will have to battle for minutes with rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner and Moussa Diabate, who are both 23 years old.

Mason Plumlee Unavailable Wednesday

Phoenix Suns center Mason Plumlee (quadriceps) will not play against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. He injured his left quadriceps on Monday against the Toronto Raptors, which will cause Plumlee to miss only his second game of the season. In his absence, Oso Ighodaro will move up in the depth chart. Ighodaro outperformed starting center Nick Richards on Monday, though it was during a blowout victory. The 22-year-old has averaged 6.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 22.4 minutes across five appearances in March.

Mason Plumlee Moves Into Starting Five

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee will shift into the starting five ahead of Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Clippers are going to need Plumlee to step up with Ivica Zubac (calf) sidelined for at least the next four weeks. Plumlee will get the starting nod on Tuesday, while Daniel Theis operates as the primary backup center. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Theis gets a few starts depending on the matchup. Both players could have streaming appeal depending on the matchup, but aren't must-have fantasy options.

Mason Plumlee Not Close To Returning

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue says center Mason Plumlee (knee) did a "slow run" on the court recently but is still a ways away from practicing 5-on-5 in his recovery. Plumlee had to be carried off the Madison Square Garden court on Nov. 8 and was later diagnosed with an MCL sprain in his left knee. Due out for roughly another month, Plumlee is in line to be re-evaluated in the next week or two. In a muted reserve role off L.A.'s bench, the versatile 33-year-old big man was not relevant in fantasy hoops by averaging 5.0 points on 63.2% field-goal shooting and 5.5 rebounds in 17.0 minutes over six games. Ivica Zubac is locked in as L.A.'s preferred traditional center, but his minutes can fluctuate depending on matchup. After being a regular member of the DNP-CD club with the Indiana Pacers, Daniel Theis has gotten comfortable in his new digs as a consistent part of the team's second unit since linking up with the Clippers on Nov. 17.

Mason Plumlee Out With MCL Sprain

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee (knee) has suffered a left MCL sprain, sources have told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The big guy was injured Monday against the Knicks and had to be carried off the court. He has left the team's road trip to undergo further evaluation in Los Angeles, meaning Plumlee is out for at least the next two games, starting with Wednesday's matchup against Brooklyn. Plumlee's injury leaves the Clippers without a proper backup for starting center Ivica Zubac, although Brooklyn uses a lot of smaller lineups, and his absence will be more missed in the next game against Dallas. P.J. Tucker should get extra minutes off the bench with Plumlee out, but he's never been a great fantasy producer.

Mason Plumlee Won't Return On Monday

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee (knee) won't return to Monday's game against the New York Knicks. This doesn't come as a surprise after Plumlee needed to be carried off the court and into the locker room. The team is calling the injury a sprained left knee, which means Plumlee could miss some time from this issue. Ivica Zubac figures to play heavy minutes with the Clippers thin at the center spot. Possibly, the Clippers decide to go small-ball with Moussa Diabate and P.J. Tucker. Regardless, Zubac is likely to benefit the most with the loss of Plumlee.

Mason Plumlee Carried To Locker Room

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee (knee) suffered what looked to be a significant injury during Monday's game against the New York Knicks. The big man appeared to have hyperextended his knee while attempting to get a loose ball. The veteran center needed to be carried back to the locker room in order to be further examined. The fact Plumlee wasn't able to walk is not a good sign. Fantasy managers should get another update on his status later in the night. In the meantime, Ivica Zubac is likely to play big minutes with the Clippers extremely thin at the center spot.

Clippers Want To Bring Back Mason Plumlee

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee is set to become a free agent this season. Recently, Clippers team president Lawrence Frank mentioned he'd love to bring back Plumlee this offseason. The Clippers acquired Plumlee mid-season in a deal with the Charlotte Hornets. He mainly came off the bench, while Ivica Zubac remained the starter. Despite coming off the bench, Plumlee played well and has shown he's capable of contributing even as a bench player. It'll be interesting to see if the two sides can find common ground on a deal this offseason.

Mason Plumlee Provides Double-Double Off Of The Bench

Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee posted a strong performance in just 24 minutes off of the bench despite suffering a six-point loss to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Plumlee, along with the rest of the bench squad, were the only Clippers to obtain a positive plus/minus in this game as they tried to fight back without their two superstars. The 33-year-old out of Duke ended the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal on 6-for-7 shooting and 8-for-9 from the charity stripe.

Mason Plumlee Exits Early On Monday

Charlotte Hornets center Mason Plumlee (foot) was unable to finish Monday's preseason matchup against the Washington Wizards. The big man reportedly suffered a left foot sprain and was unable to return to action. The severity of the injury is unknown at the moment. P.J. Williams, Nick Richards and Mark Williams would all see a boost in playing time, assuming Plumlee is forced to miss time. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update on Plumlee.
