Bradley Roby News
Houston Texans cornerback Bradley Roby will miss the rest of the 2020 season after he was suspended for six games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Roby's teammate, wide receiver Will Fuller V, was hit with the same suspension on Monday and will also miss the rest of this year. Houston's secondary was already vulnerable with the 28-year-old Roby in the fold, so this will make them even more of a target for those looking to stream opposing receivers down the stretch. The Texans Defense has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to wideouts, which is good news for quarterback Philip Rivers and the Colts in Week 13. Roby finishes 2020 with 37 tackles (33 solo), one interception, seven passes defensed and one fumble recovery in 10 games.
Houston Texans cornerback Bradley Roby will not travel with the team and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Jaguars. No reason was given, but Roby isn't injured and isn't dealing with anything COVID-19-related. Roby has played in seven games with Houston this year, recording 29 tackles (26 solo), one interception and five passes defensed. His absence is good news for the Jags receivers, but keep in mind that quarterback Jake Luton is taking over for Gardner Minshew II (thumb) under center this week. Jacksonville's receivers should be downgraded in slightly, while the Texans Defense will have top-five upside this week against a backup signal-caller making his first career start.
The Houston Texans re-signed cornerback Bradley Roby to a three-year, $36 million deal on Sunday, according to sources. Roby played in just 10 games in his first season with the Texans in 2019, but he'll return as the team's best cornerback. They'll need the 27-year-old to be at his best and to stay healthy this season if they want to improve a secondary that was routinely torched by opposing offenses in 2019. Roby finished last season with 38 tackles (35 solo), two interceptions (one for a touchdown), eight passes defensed and one forced fumble. Houston's defense/special teams can probably be left to the waiver wire in most standard leagues to begin the 2020 campaign.
