Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are releasing linebacker/fullback Nick Bellore ahead of 2024 free agency, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The 34-year-old team captain made the 2020 and 2023 Pro Bowl rosters for his work on special teams, and he has been with the organization since 2019. He will now hit free agency after compiling 65 tackles in five seasons with Seattle. He spent eight seasons with the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions. The move saves the Seahawks $2.85 million on the cap.

Nick Bellore Staying In Seattle
Pro Bowl fullback Nick Bellore is re-signing an undisclosed deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, according to a source. Bellore has also been a special teams star for the Seahawks, and it's a big move to appease quarterback Russell Wilson as the team tries to persuade him to stay with the team. He played linebacker for the first half of his career in the NFL before converting to fullback with the Detroit Lions. Bellore signed with Seattle in 2019 and has factored in on special teams the last two seasons. The 31-year-old will likely be blocking for a new lead back in 2021, as Chris Carson is currently a free agent. Bellore was a Pro Bowler in 2020 on special teams, and he added 14 combined tackles (11 solo) and a fumble recovery in 16 games (zero starts).

Nick Bellore Hauls In Second Career TD
Seattle Seahawks fullback Nick Bellore was the lucky recipient of the team's only touchdown on Sunday when he hauled in a three-yard lob pass in the first quarter. Bellore, who has been in the league for nine seasons but just joined Seattle this year, has recorded just two catches all season. This is his first touchdown since 2017, when he scored on a one-yard pass for the Lions. Bellore's catch was a nice bit of trickery as he chipped a rusher before peeling off into the flat, and it's a good thing Seattle did it since their more experienced receivers were contained for the rest of the game. Bellore likely won't get another moment in the sun anytime soon, but it's a nice wrinkle to add.
