Shaquill Griffin Fantasy

The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin to a three-year deal worth $44.5 million on Tuesday, according to a league source. Griffin will pair with 2020 first-rounder CJ Henderson to give the team two young cornerbacks to build around. Jacksonville allowed a league-high 8.7 yards per attempt last year and played man-to-man coverage at the fourth-highest rate in the NFL. Griffin, 25, started for Seattle since early in his rookie season in 2017, and the third-rounder was the team's top corner since moving to the left side in his second season. He has six interceptions in four seasons, including a career-best three in 12 games last year. Griffin made his only Pro Bowl appearance in 2019 and has played in 57 of a possible 64 regular season games.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin was questionable heading into Monday night's matchup with the Bears, but he's certainly pleased he made it on to the field now. Griffin was one of the stars of the game for Seattle as he snatched a pair of interceptions that helped keep the Seahawks in a game that could have easily turned into a laugher. Griffin doubled up his interception total from last year, and with his famous one-handed brother Shaquem joining him this year, the duo could serve as the start of a new stellar defensive squad for Seattle.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin (thigh) is active for Week 2 against the Bears on Monday night. However, cornerback Tre Flowers (hamstring) and linebackers Bobby Wagner (groin) and K.J. Wright (knee) are out. Seattle's defense was already weak coming into this game, and they are very vulnerable all over, which is great news for Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the rest of the offense.
