Galchenyuk had just signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 1. The 29-year-old has posted 146 goals and 354 points in 654 career NHL games, but Galchenyuk has struggled to perform for multiple seasons now, skating for seven teams in the past six campaigns. He made 11 appearances with Colorado in 2022-23, finishing without a single point.

Warsofsky is a 30-year-old journeyman, who has spent most of his career in the AHL and he isn't fantasy relevant.

The Ottawa Senators traded forward Alex Galchenyuk (along with forward Cedric Paquette) to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Ryan Dzingel on Saturday. The 27-year-old, who signed with the Sens as a free-agent this past offseason, had posted just one goal and a minus-six rating in eight games in Ottawa this season. Despite possessing great talent, Galchenyuk is now onto his sixth NHL team in the past four seasons. Unless Carolina sees something his previous clubs have not, it would be hard to recommend the American-born forward as a legitimate fantasy option in 2020-2021.
