Los Angeles Kings left wing Alex Turcotte led the way with three points during their victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday evening. Turcotte opened the scoring with a tip-in goal in the opening minute. Later in the first period, Turcotte would score again, this time with a wrist shot and tack on the primary assist on Adrian Kempe's 21st goal of the season. Turcotte held a +3 rating with four shots on goal and one block during the game. This was his first three-point outing of the season. Over his previous seven games, he has tallied six points (three goals, three assists). Through 37 games, the 23-year-old has tallied 19 points and is worth a look at as he continues this offensive surge playing on the top unit. He will look to stay productive on Saturday night in Seattle.
Los Angeles Kings center Alex Turcotte (upper body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and will return to action against Detroit on Saturday. An upper-body injury has kept Turcotte sidelined for five games. He has notched five points (one goal, four assists) in 13 games this season, averaging 11:51 of ice time. We should see Turcotte play a bigger role on Saturday, as he will be starting the game on the first line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. Kopitar and Kempe are L.A.'s two top scorers, and skating alongside them will enhance Turcotte's fantasy value.
Los Angeles Kings center Alex Turcotte (upper body) will not play against Vancouver on Thursday. He'll be absent for a second consecutive game. Turcotte doesn't see a lot of ice time, averaging less than 12 minutes per game, but he's put in effective work for the team, scoring five points (one goal, four assists) in 13 games. The 23-year-old is third on the team with a plus-eight rating. Andre Lee took Turcotte's spot in the lineup on Tuesday against Minnesota, registering an assist and three hits. It was a good night for the Swedish forward, but Lee logged only 7:59 of ice time, and his usage is unlikely to increase on Thursday.
