Anton Lundell News
Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell (upper body) is ready to return from a nine-game absence Wednesday against New Jersey. He battled an illness at the start of the month and was then also sidelined by an upper-body injury. However, Lundell is good to go now, and he is returning at a great time for the Panthers because Aleksander Barkov (lower body) remains unavailable Wednesday. Lundell will squeeze himself into the second line, joining Sam Reinhart and Eetu Luostarinen. The 21-year-old has done well this season, recording 13 points with a plus-nine rating in 24 games.
Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell (illness/upper body) will remain out for Sunday's clash with Seattle. He exited the lineup a week ago with an upper-body injury and the 21-year-old is now also battling an illness. Lundell has enjoyed a good campaign with four goals and nine assists in 24 games. His absence has pushed Eric Staal up in the lineup, and the veteran has had a nice spell lately, collecting his first four points on the campaign in the last five games. It's the fifth consecutive game Lundell is forced to miss and his next chance to return comes on Tuesday against Columbus.
Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell (upper body) won't be able to play Saturday against Seattle. He was injured in Thursday's meeting with Vancouver and there hasn't been enough time for him to get healthy for Saturday's game. Lundell has posted four goals and nine assists in 24 games. Eetu Luostarinen is set to take over his role as the second-line center. He has matched Lundell's points tally through 24 games and will enter Saturday's game with a bit of momentum, having finished scoreless just once in his past four outings. Head coach Paul Maurice hopes to have Lundell back for the next game against Winnipeg.
Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell (upper body) and defenseman Radko Gudas (lower body) will miss the rest of the regular season. The two got injured in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Boston and it doesn't make any sense for the team to push them too hard in the final two regular-season games. Lundell completes his debut campaign with 44 points in 65 games. The 20-year-old has looked like a savvy veteran on the ice and seems set for a very successful career. Gudas finished the year with a league-high 355 hits. He also managed 16 points and 118 blocks in 77 outings. Both players are considered day-to-day and they should be back in the lineup for the playoffs.
