Cam Talbot Stops 42 Shots In Shutout Victory

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Cam Talbot stopped all 42 shots en route to earning his victory as a Detroit Red Wing. Ville Husso got the starting nod in their first game of the season but was eventually replaced by Talbot after he allowed four goals on 14 shots. Talbot was able to stop 12 of the 14 shots he faced in relief but looked much sharper on Saturday evening as he shutout the Nashville Predators. The Predators dominated play as they had more than 20 shots than Detroit. Nashville also had three power-play opportunities. This is a great sign for Talbot as he looks quite comfortable in his new home after posting a strong .913 SV% and 2.50 GAA last season in Los Angeles. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor this time share going forward as Talbot could eventually take over the starting role if he continues this strong play.

Cam Talbot Starts Game 2 For Kings

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cam Talbot is the team's confirmed starter for Wednesday's Game 2 against Edmonton. Talbot remains between the sticks against his former team despite struggling in Game 1. The veteran netminder gave up six goals in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Oilers. He finished the contest with 38 saves. Talbot has lost two consecutive starts only twice since the start of March, which should be an encouraging sign for the Kings as they try to even the first-round series on Wednesday.

Cam Talbot Collects Fourth Consecutive Win

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cam Talbot posted his fourth consecutive victory in Monday's 3-2 win over the Canucks. He gave up a first-period goal to Sam Lafferty but played a rock-solid game overall and finished with 21 saves. Brock Boeser got the second one past Talbot late in the game. The four-game winning streak matches Talbot's season best. He's posted a 23-16-6 record while allowing 2.43 goals with a .917 save percentage. Talbot will need to survive a meeting with Connor McDavid and the Oilers next to keep his winning run going.

Cam Talbot Joins Special Group With Saturday's Shutout

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cam Talbot posted a 24-save shutout in Saturday's 5-0 road win against the Flyers, becoming the sixth netminder in NHL history to log a shutout with at least six different franchises. Talbot made his eighth start for the Kings and registered a third consecutive win. Following a bumpy start, the well-traveled veteran has improved his record for the year to 6-2-1. He has allowed only three goals across his last three starts to take his goals-against average to 2.14, and Talbot has a .923 goals-against average. The Kings goalies are benefiting this season from playing behind a very prolific team, but Talbot's individual form has also had a big part in his eye-catching numbers.

Cam Talbot Produces Bounce-Back Performance In Tuesday's Win

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cam Talbot got back to winning ways on Tuesday, playing a big part in a 4-1 road victory over the Maple Leafs. After coughing up three goals on 30 shots at the weekend in a 4-3 shootout loss to Vegas, Talbot pushed aside 29 of 30 pucks, only allowing a power-play goal in the middle of the third frame. The Kings have been leaky at the back early in the season, but you wouldn't say so from Talbot's numbers. He's allowed 2.47 goals with a .914 save percentage, and the 36-year-old boasts a 4-2-1 record.

Cam Talbot Makes A Winning Return

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot returned to action with a 5-4 overtime victory against Philadelphia Thursday. The veteran was clearly rusty, as the Flyers got four goals against him with only 11 shots, but Ottawa's offense made it a happy return for Talbot, who hadn't played since March 4. He has now won five consecutive home starts and boasts a 16-14-1 record for the season. His Thursday's performance was shaky, but Talbot has done a solid job overall for the Senators, registering a 2.88 goals-against average with a .902 save percentage and one shutout.

Cam Talbot Set To Miss Three Weeks

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot will sit out the next three weeks of action to recover from a lower-body injury. He was a very late scratch for Monday's contest against Chicago and the injury will likely cause Talbot to miss 12 more games. With Anton Forsberg (knee) also out, Ottawa's playoff hopes will now hinge on Mads Sogaard and Kevin Mandolese. Both goalies have done well in the few appearances they have made this season, but the two have combined for only 10 NHL starts and the rest of the team will definitely need to help out the inexperienced pair.

Cam Talbot Battling A Lower-Body Problem

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot was a late scratch for Monday's game against Chicago due to a lower-body injury. He was hoping to go after his fourth consecutive win, but couldn't play and the Senators ended up taking a heavy 5-0 defeat with Mads Sogaard in the net. According to reports, it's only a minor issue for Talbot, so there's a chance he can recover in time for Thursday's meeting with the Kraken. The 35-year-old has a 15-14-1 record for the season with a 2.85 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage and one shutout.

Cam Talbot Earns Win Against Red Wings

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot stopped 22-of-24 shots on goal in Monday's 6-2 victory against the Red Wings. Talbot surrendered goals to Red Wings forwards Tyler Bertuzzi and David Perron in the first half of the contest, but he responded nicely for the remainder of the game to pick up his first victory since returning from an extended absence due to a lower body injury. The 35-year-old should be rostered across standard formats as he is the number one goaltender for a Senators team that has performed well recently and entered the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

Cam Talbot Returns To Action Friday

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot (lower body) will go back to work Friday against Carolina. He hasn't played since Jan. 25 while recovering from a lower-body injury. The team went a solid 6-2-1 without Talbot, but he will make a welcome return on Friday. The veteran has produced a 12-13-1 record this season with a 2.90 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage and one shutout. The Hurricanes have gone 9-1-0 in their last 10 outings and sit among the league leaders, so Talbot won't exactly be eased back into action.

Cam Talbot Expected Back Next Weekend

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot (lower body) will remain out for Monday's matchup against Boston, but he is expected to return next weekend. The Senators are scheduled to start a back-to-back on Friday versus Carolina. Talbot hasn't played since Jan. 25 while trying to recover from a lower-body problem. With Anton Forsberg (knees) also out, Mads Sogaard has become the de facto starter for the team. He made his third start of the campaign Sunday versus St. Louis. Kevin Mandolese, who had a dream debut with 46 saves and a 3-2 shootout win against the Islanders this week, is expected to get the nod Monday.

Cam Talbot Might Not Be Ready After The All-Star Game

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot (lower body) has been ruled out through the All-Star break and it's now being reported that he might not be ready to play straight after it either. Ottawa has its first game after the break on Feb. 11 versus Edmonton. Talbot was injured last Wednesday against the Islanders and will be unavailable for a third straight game Tuesday versus Montreal. Anton Forberg has been solid in Talbot's absence, even posting a shutout against the Canadiens over the weekend, but Talbot has been able to show off more consistency throughout the campaign. He had better numbers across the board before Forsberg's recent surge, so the team could be in serious trouble if the Senators No. 1 faces a long-term absence.

Cam Talbot Likely Out Until The All-Star Break

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot sustained a lower-body injury Wednesday against the Islanders and head coach D.J. Smith believes that he could be out until the All-Star break. Talbot exited Wednesday's game in the second period, having stopped all 14 shots he faced. He will miss three games if he can't return before the break. Anton Forsberg took over the crease Wednesday and helped the side to a 2-1 victory by saving 21 of 22 shots. He's had a very inconsistent campaign but could be a short-term fix for fantasy managers, especially with the Senators getting some decent results as of late.

Cam Talbot Earns Shutout Against Anaheim

Ottawa Senators goalie Cam Talbot registered his 28th career shutout in a 3-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks Monday. The 35-year-old has won four of his last six outings. After coming off a pre-season injury, Talbot's return to the lineup has been a significant boost to Ottawa, as they have a record of 6-3-1 in their last ten games. He has been consistent for most of his ten-year NHL career and should help bring more wins to the Senators as the season progresses.

Cam Talbot Questionable For Monday's Matchup

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot is dealing with an unspecified issue and might not be available for Monday's matchup against the Ducks. He skipped the morning skate along with Alex DeBrincat, with head coach D.J. Smith saying that one of them isn't feeling well and the other one is a little nicked up. Fantasy managers can have a guessing competition on who's dealing with what. Talbot has a losing record for the season with 5-7-0, but he's done reasonably well between the pipes with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. Anton Forsberg, who is 5-7-2 with a 3.24 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage, will get the nod instead on Monday if Talbot can't play.

Cam Talbot Dresses As Backup Versus Vegas

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot (ribs) has been cleared for action and will dress as the backup for Thursday's matchup against Vegas. Anton Forsberg gets another start and will look to put a stop to a three-game losing streak. Talbot has yet to play this season after fracturing a rib at the end of September. If it doesn't happen Thursday night, Talbot should be in line for his team debut Saturday against Philadelphia. The 35-year-old veteran has been a rock throughout his career with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. Joining a defensively-suspect Ottawa team doesn't exactly bode well for Talbot's fantasy appeal, but he should still perform adequately for managers.

Cam Talbot A Few Weeks Away From Senators Debut

Ottawa Senators goaltender Cam Talbot (ribs) took some shots Wednesday morning but didn't stick around for the main practice session and his team debut is still a few weeks away. The well-traveled veteran sustained a fractured rib in late September and was given a 5-7 week timeframe for his return. Talbot had a nice 32-12-4 campaign with the Wild last season and he should be a nice asset for the Senators, who traded for him in the summer. Anton Forsberg is currently getting the most burn in the Senators net and has put together a solid 3-2-0 record with a 2.82 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.

Cam Talbot Out Five To Seven Weeks

Ottawa Senators goalie Cam Talbot is expected to miss five to seven weeks with an upper-body injury. The 10th-year veteran was acquired from Minnesota on July 12th. He appeared in 49 contests last season, registering a 32-12-4 record with a 2.76 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage, and three shutouts in 49 games. Despite the loss for Ottawa, Talbot will be the starter once healthy. He should be considered an option for fantasy managers to draft because Talbot could significantly boost any fantasy lineup after he recovers.

Cam Talbot Extends Win Streak With 28-Save Shutout

Minnesota Wild goaltender Cam Talbot had all the answers to Vegas' efforts on Monday, recording his second shutout of the season with 28 saves in a 3-0 win. The veteran netminder is now carrying a nice five-game winning streak and sits on a 25-12-1 record for the whole campaign. Talbot has registered a 2.84 goals-against average with a .910 save percentage. The 34-year-old has been solid for fantasy managers throughout the season, but things will get complicated from now on with Marc-Andre Fleury in town. Talbot will likely see fewer starts for the rest of the way, although it's currently very difficult to bench him as he's heated up.

Cam Talbot Heads Out For Minnesota Against Dallas

Minnesota Wild goaltender Cam Talbot will pick up his 23rd start of the season on Monday against Dallas, looking for his 16th win. He's done very well this season, but Talbot has lost back-to-back starts and the team sits on a three-game losing streak overall, so things could be complicated in Texas. Talbot is among the league leaders in wins, but his goals-against average (2.67) and save percentage (.919) could use some work. He's won only four of his previous 11 career appearances against the Stars, but Talbot did collect a nice 7-2 victory when these two teams met up for the first time this season on Nov. 18.
