Danton Heinen Logs Full Practice On Saturday

Boston Bruins left wing Danton Heinen (undisclosed) joined the team for a full practice on Saturday and could be ready to return to action on Sunday versus Florida. He has been out for five games with an undisclosed injury. Heinen, who boasts one assist in five games this postseason, worked on a line with Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic on Saturday and took up a spot on the second power-play unit. Heinen could be Brad Marchand's (upper body) replacement in the lineup. The Bruins captain is iffy for Sunday's contest after getting injured in Friday's Game 3.

Danton Heinen Remains Day-To-Day

Boston Bruins left wing Danton Heinen (undisclosed) remains day-to-day and won't play in Game 3 against the Panthers on Friday. He will miss a fifth consecutive game after suffering an unspecified injury in the first round of the playoffs against Toronto. Heinen collected one assist in five games before getting knocked out of the lineup. Justin Brazeau has taken his spot on the third line, putting in a few impressive performances. He recorded points in back-to-back games before Boston suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat against Florida in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Danton Heinen Remains Out On Monday

Boston Bruins left wing Danton Heinen (undisclosed) will miss a third straight game on Monday against Florida. The 28-year-old appears close to returning to the lineup and was even considered a game-time call for Saturday's Game 7 against Toronto. However, his comeback won't happen in the second-round opener. Heinen made five appearances in Round 1, picking up one point via an assist. He couldn't score with 11 shots on goal. Justin Brazeau is seeing third-line minutes in his stead. The 26-year-old rookie had one point in three games with four shots on goal against the Maple Leafs in the first round.

Danton Heinen Set For First-Line Duty Saturday

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Danton Heinen will get a chance to log first-line minutes alongside Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell Saturday against Columbus. He will be replacing Jake Guentzel (upper body), who was injured in Thursday's 6-1 win over L.A. and hasn't been able to practice. There were some hopes of Guentzel possibly being able to play Saturday as he traveled with the team, but that won't be happening. Heinen has looked good so far this season, getting four points in as many outings. He's averaging 2.5 shots per game and there should be plenty of scoring opportunities coming his way whilst skating with Crosby.

Danton Heinen Tallies Game-Winning Goal Monday

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Danton Heinen scored the game-winning goal in the third period of Pittsburgh's 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Heinen endured quite a rough stretch in his career, which included just 14 points in 43 games last season for Anaheim. He has found a home in Pittsburgh, where he now has six goals and three assists in 18 games. That puts him around a 40-point pace, which would match his output from his early days as a Boston Bruin. Heinen is also averaging over two shots a game, which gives him a little more fantasy relevance.

Danton Heinen Scores Again In Penguins Win

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Danton Heinen stayed hot Saturday night and scored his third goal of the season in as many games. The club defeated the Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 5-2. Teddy Blueger, Drew O'Connor, Brock McGinn, and Jason Zucker also scored goals. Heinen's offense had dried up over the past two seasons including just 14 points last season with Anaheim but he scored 16 goals with 47 total points during his rookie season with the Boston Bruins in 2017-18. As a member of the club's top line and second power-play unit in 2021-22, he's worth monitoring and, if he continues to find the back of the net on a regular basis, he's worth a flier in deep fantasy leagues. He's owned in just 5% of Yahoo leagues.

Danton Heinen Signs With Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Danton Heinen Thursday to a one-year contract worth $ 1.1 million. The former Anaheim Ducks skater recorded seven goals and seven helpers in 43 Ducks games last season. Heinen has good hands, is a strong skater, and could help Pittsburgh offensively if he's put in the right situation. Where he will fit in in the Penguins lineup is unknown at this time. When drafting next season, the 26-year-old should not be high on anyone's list to pick come draft time.
