Frank Nazar Out on Wednesday

Chicago Blackhawks center Frank Nazar (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. An undisclosed health issue will keep the young forward sidelined for a second consecutive contest. Although Nazar has not registered a single point in his last five appearances, he has generally had a good season. In 15 games, Nazar has produced 11 points (five goals, six assists). With Nazar out, Ryan Greene is expected to maintain a second-line role on Wednesday. Greene has totaled only three points (one goal, two assists) in 14 outings and should remain a free agent in fantasy leagues.

Frank Nazar Day-to-Day Following Friday's Early Exit

Chicago Blackhawks center Frank Nazar (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day after his early exit from Friday's win over the Calgary Flames. Nazar played only a handful of minutes before leaving the game after a cross-check by Flames forward Joel Farabee. The 21-year-old is on a five-game scoring slump; however, he has generally had an impressive sophomore season. In 14 games, Nazar has recorded five goals and 11 points, serving as an important piece on the second line and the second power-play unit. If Nazar is deemed unavailable for Sunday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings, Sam Lafferty will probably return to the lineup, while Nick Foligno or Ryan Donato could join the top six.

Frank Nazar Inks Seven-Year Extension With Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks forward Frank Nazar has put pen to paper for a seven-year, $46.13 million contract extension. The deal will take effect with the 2026-27 season once Nazar finishes his entry-level contract. Nazar notched 12 goals and 26 points in 53 outings with the Blackhawks last season during his rookie campaign and impressed at the World Championship. The Mount Clemens, Michigan native was one of the top scorers at the Worlds with 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 10 games, helping the U.S. secure gold for the first time since 1933. Nazar is just 21 years old and appears to have a promising future in the National Hockey League.

Frank Nazar Tallies Two Points In Victory

Chicago Blackhawks rookie center Frank Nazar tallied two points during their 4-3 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens. This was Nazar's second-straight game tallying two points. In the opening frame, Nazar tallied the primary assist on Tyler Bertuzzi's power-play goal. Later in the second, Nazar would find the back of the net himself, also on the power play. Since the start of the month, Nazar has played a key role in the Chicago offense as he has scored four goals and added four helpers over seven contests. During this stretch, Nazar tallied three of his points on the power play. Before April, Nazar tallied just three points (all goals) during all of March. Given his recent offensive surge, he remains a viable option in DFS during their final game of the season, against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday evening.
