Teuvo Teravainen News
Carolina Hurricanes winger Teuvo Teravainen served up four assists as the team rocked Colorado with a 5-2 win on Thursday. He cashed in twice during Martin Necas' three-goal outburst early in the game and added two more helpers on goals by Michael Bunting and Seth Jarvis. After slumping through most of the season, Teravainen has suddenly found his game, recording nine points over a five-game stretch. It's helped him to jump on 34 points for the season with 50 games played.
Carolina Hurricanes winger Teuvo Teravainen had a special night on Friday, scoring a natural hat trick in a 3-0 win over the Sharks. He opened the scoring with a power-play marker and added two even-strength goals, reaching seven tallies for the campaign. Teravainen, who celebrated his third career hat trick Friday, ended a four-game scoring slump, although he has been in fine form to start the campaign, notching eight points in nine outings. The Finnish forward now needs only five more goals to match his tally from last season, and he's on track to have a big bounce-back year after collecting only 37 points across 68 appearances in 2022-23.
Carolina Hurricanes winger Teuvo Teravainen was one of only a few bright spots for the team in Sunday's 6-3 loss to Anaheim, scoring two goals. He had an even-strength goal in the second period and potted his first power-play marker of the season in the third. Teravainen struggled massively last year, but he appears to be back with a vengeance, having scored in each of Carolina's first three games. Impressively, he's notched four goals with only five shots on target. Toronto's Auston Matthews (6) is the only player with more goals through the first week of the new campaign.
Carolina Hurricanes left wing Teuvo Teravainen (hand) is expected to return to the lineup for the Eastern Conference Final against the Panthers. Teravainen suffered the injury when he blocked a shot in Game 2 of the first-round series against the Islanders, and the forward underwent surgery on April 20. Teravainen wore a regular jersey in Monday's practice and rotated onto different forward lines, but head coach Rod Brind'Amour did not put a timetable on when the 28-year-old forward could return against the Panthers. Teravainen had a quiet regular season with 12 goals and 37 points through 68 games, but he is capable of contributing in the series as he totaled 11 points during the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
