Gustav Nyquist Tallies Assist, Shorthanded Goal On Friday
Nashville Predators right wing Gustav Nyquist tallied an assist and a shorthanded goal in their victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday evening. Nyquist tallied the primary assist on Filip Forsberg's goal in the second frame which got Nashville on the board. Later in the frame, Nyquist would tie the game with a shorthanded goal off a wrist shot from the slot. The 35-year-old is now carrying a three-game point streak after being held off the scoresheet during the first four games of the season. Nyquist should continue to find scoring opportunities and should remain a solid point producer playing on the top line alongside Filip Forsberg and Ryan O'Reilly.
Gustav Nyquist Extends Point Streak With Two Assists

The Predators made it 3-3 with just 38 left to play in regulation but also found a game-winning goal as Yakov Trenin lit the lamp 16 seconds later. The run has doubled Nyquist's points tally for the season.
Gustav Nyquist Tallies Two Assists In Wednesday's Loss
Minnesota Wild winger Gustav Nyquist continued his good start with the team with a two-assist effort in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to Dallas. Playing in only his fifth game for the Wild, Nyquist helped Oscar Sundqvist and Frederick Gaudreau to score. The Swedish winger now has one goal and seven assists in Minnesota colors. He's been a great addition to the Wild attack, and Nyquist's contributions could become vital in the playoffs after Ryan Hartman (lower body) dropped out of the lineup for Game 2.
Minnesota Wild winger Gustav Nyquist finally made his team debut Saturday against St. Louis, and it was a good one. Lining up on the third line, Nyquist played for only 11:50, but he made a big impact in a 5-3 victory with two assists. Both of his helpers came inside a few minutes in the second period, as Frederick Gaudreau scored a power-play goal and Jared Spurgeon logged the eventual game-winner. Nyquist was brought in from Columbus in February, but he arrived in Saint Paul with an upper-body injury. The team will be relieved to see him getting back healthy for the playoffs. He will have three more regular-season games to get himself back up to speed. Including his time in Ohio, Nyquist has posted 10 goals and 24 points in 49 appearances this season.
The Minnesota Wild have added winger Gustav Nyquist (upper body) from Columbus to their attack in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick. The 33-year-old spent two and a half seasons with the Blue Jackets, posting 43 goals and 74 assists in 200 games. He's on 10 goals and 12 assists this season with 48 games played and is currently recovering from an upper-body injury. Nyquist last played on Jan. 25 and it's unclear if he can return to the lineup before the regular season finishes, but he will definitely be of great help come playoff time. The Swedish winger, who has recorded 423 points in 700 games for his whole career, will occupy a middle-six spot on the team once he's healthy.
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Gustav Nyquist (shoulder) will miss the rest of the 2022-23 season, the team announced on Wednesday. He injured his shoulder a week ago against Edmonton and the 33-year-old has now received awful news regarding his availability for the rest of the campaign. Nyquist has already sat out three games because of the injury. He finishes his 10th season in the league with 10 goals and 22 points in 48 games. It could be Nyquist final season in Ohio, as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Gustav Nyquist (upper body) has been ruled out indefinitely by the team ahead of Friday's matchup against Vancouver. He was injured in the last game against Edmonton on Wednesday and heads to the shelf for an extended period after so far featuring in every game this season. Nyquist doesn't boast any outstanding numbers but has done a decent job for Columbus with 10 goals and 22 points in 48 appearances. Emil Bemstrom, who has recorded four goals and 11 points in 21 games, will replace Nyquist in the lineup Friday.
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Gustav Nyquist picked up an upper-body injury in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win against the Oilers. He skated for only 3:33 and managed one shot on goal before exiting. Nyquist is enjoying a decent campaign on a struggling team with 10 goals and 22 points in 48 games. He's a top-six regular and also averages nearly two minutes of power-play time. Emil Bemstrom, who was scratched for Wednesday's action, will likely be entered into Nyquist's position if he's unable to go Friday against the Canucks.
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Gustav Nyquist made an early exit in Saturday's preseason game against Washington and the team considers him day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Nyquist left Saturday's 2-1 win in the second period after logging 9:26 of ice time. The Swedish winger is generally injury-proof and even registered his fourth 82-game campaign in 2021-22, scoring 18 goals and picking up 53 points in total. He showed off good form throughout the season and came just two points short of setting a new career record. The 33-year-old is a nailed-on top-six forward for Columbus and should be a 50-60-point guy again in 2022-23 if he stays healthy.
Gustav Nyquist Starts Two-Point Night With A Short-Handed Goal
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Gustav Nyquist enjoyed a two-point night against Vancouver on Friday, opening the scoring and helping Max Domi to finish things off in a 4-2 win. He scored with his lone shot and finished as plus-two for the game in 15:52 of ice time. Nyquist opened the season with just one point in eight games, but he's come to life in November, adding eight points to his tally in 10 appearances. The Blue Jackets are playing some great stuff right now and everyone is getting in on the act. They face a tough four-game road trip next, which starts on Saturday in St. Louis.
