Jacob Middleton Fantasy Stats

The Calgary Flames have acquired defenseman Jacob Middleton from the Minnesota Wild. He was brought in along with a 2027 third-round pick, a 2028 fourth-round pick, and a 2029 second-round pick in exchange for forward Blake Coleman and defenseman Olli Maatta. Middleton has just finished the first season of a four-year, $17.4 million contract. After back-to-back 20-point campaigns, he finished with 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) in 75 games. His numbers across the board dropped due to reduced playing time. In Calgary, Middleton will have a chance to re-establish himself as a top-four piece.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jacob Middleton (undisclosed) was injured in Monday's victory over the Seattle Kraken. He left the contest in the third period due to an undisclosed injury. Before his exit, Middleton recorded an assist on Minnesota's first goal. This gives Middleton six assists for the season. He has yet to score a goal with 21 attempts on the net. Last season, Middleton produced a career-high eight goals. In 2025-26, the veteran rearguard has also recorded 46 blocks and 45 hits in 27 appearances. Minnesota played with seven defensemen on Monday night, so a forward might come into the lineup as Middleton's replacement if he can't play in Thursday's contest against the Dallas Stars.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jacob Middleton (hand) is poised to rejoin the lineup on Tuesday against St. Louis. The team has activated him from long-term Injured Reserve ahead of the contest. A hand injury has kept Middleton sidelined for 11 games. Despite missing nearly a month of action, Middleton leads the Wild in blocked shots with 76. He has also contributed offensively, posting five goals and eight assists in 29 games. Middleton's return will bump Travis Dermott out of the lineup. He is expected to link up with Brock Faber on the first defensive pairing, with Jonas Brodin dropping to the second.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jacob Middleton could make his debut for the team on Thursday when they host the Vancouver Canucks. The 26-year-old blueliner was acquired by Minnesota at the trade deadline from the San Jose Sharks. Middleton is a versatile defenseman that can play anywhere in the lineup and be an asset to the Wild's penalty kill. He isn't a big goal-scorer however, finding the back of the net just three times in 45 games played this season. Wild fans will quickly fall in love with this newcomer's grit and panache, but he doesn't give much in the way of fantasy value.
