Jake DeBrusk Rejoins Bruins Lineup Tuesday

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (undisclosed) will hop back into the lineup on Tuesday against Calgary. The 27-year-old was unavailable for a clash with the Flyers before the All-Star break. DeBrusk has blown hot and cold throughout the season and sits on 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) with 47 games played. However, he's set to feature on the top line with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle on Tuesday, meaning DeBrusk will have a good opportunity to regain momentum after going scoreless in his last two appearances. The Bruins also get defenseman Derek Forbort (undisclosed) back against the Flames.

Jake DeBrusk Scratched For Missing Team Meeting

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk will be kept out of the lineup on Saturday versus Los Angeles because he missed a team meeting. Milan Lucic is expected to take his place on the first line. DeBrusk has had a tumultuous time in Beantown, and it has continued with the latest incident. It also comes after a less-than-impressive start to the season from DeBrusk, who has gone scoreless in three games with nine shots on goal. Lucic sits on one point through three games and now gets an opportunity to make a bigger mark, although he is past his best, and fantasy managers shouldn't put too much expectations on the veteran.

Jake DeBrusk Hopes To Stay In Boston

Boston Bruins left wing Jake DeBrusk wants to stay in Beantown and hopes to agree to an extension with the club. The 26-year-old is entering the final season of his current contract. "I'm hoping to stay. It's the only team that I know and the team that I grew up with," DeBrusk told NHL.com this week. "Hopefully it goes in that direction, and we'll see how it goes. That's why I have an agent, and I told him I wanted to stay out of this one and in time, it'll be nice when it all gets done." DeBrusk has made a big U-turn regarding his future, as he asked for a trade as recently as the 2021-22 campaign. However, after rescinding the trade request, DeBrusk put together his strongest season yet, registering 27 goals and 50 points in 64 games last term. He aims to do even better in 2023-24. "If I stay healthy, I think I can score 30 this season," DeBrusk said. "I've knocked on the door twice with 27, and I have 25 in there as well. I think if I stay healthy, that's obviously the goal, to finally get to that 30 mark."

Jake DeBrusk Erupts For Four Points Sunday

Buffalo Sabres winger Jake DeBrusk scored his 22nd goal of the season and handed out three assists in Sunday's big 7-0 victory over the Sabres. DeBrusk needed just 15 seconds of action to get his first assist, and he managed to tie his career high for most points in a single regular-season game. The 26-year-old suffered a bad injury in the Winter Classic, but he's bounced back well from it, posting six goals and eight assists in 15 games since returning to the lineup. It's been a major breakthrough campaign for the 26-year-old forward, with DeBrusk having recorded 44 points and a plus-22 rating in 51 appearances.

Jake DeBrusk Officially Back Saturday

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (lower body) has received the all-clear and will return to the lineup Saturday against the Islanders. He has been close to returning all week and Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has now officially confirmed that DeBrusk will make his comeback Saturday. He has missed the past 17 games. Boston went 12-4-1 in DeBrusk's absence and the team hasn't exactly missed him, but every squad would be happy to get back a player who averages 0.83 points per game. It's been a big year for DeBrusk with 16 goals and 14 assists in 36 appearances.

Jake DeBrusk Remains Out Thursday

Boston Bruins left wing Jake DeBrusk (lower body) will once again have his comeback delayed and won't play Thursday versus Nashville. He was initially set to return right after the All-Star break, but Thursday will mark the third game DeBrusk has missed after the season resumed. The 26-year-old has been unavailable ever since getting hurt in this year's Winter Classic against Pittsburgh on Jan. 2. Pavel Zacha has been doing a good job as DeBrusk's replacement in the top six. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has now said that he's "very hopeful" of getting DeBrusk back for Saturday's contest against the Islanders.

Jake DeBrusk Doubtful For Tuesday

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (lower body) skated in a regular jersey in Monday's practice, but he is considered doubtful for Tuesday's contest against Dallas. The 26-year-old has been out injured since getting hurt in the Winter Classic against Pittsburgh on Jan. 2. DeBrusk was enjoying a very productive season before getting hurt, recording 16 goals and 30 points in 36 games. If he can't go on Tuesday, DeBrusk is expected back Thursday versus Nashville, so fantasy managers should start preparing for his return to the lineup.

Jake DeBrusk Ready To Return After The Break

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (lower body) is set to be back in the lineup when the team returns from the All-Star break on Feb. 11 against Washington. The 26-year-old has been unavailable since getting injured in the Winter Classic. DeBrusk has been having a superb season in the Bruins top six with 16 goals and 30 points in 36 games. His injury has given Pavel Zacha a chance to move up in the lineup and he is set to drop down to the third line when DeBrusk is back, but the Czech forward will still have good fantasy value in deeper formats.

Jake DeBrusk Out With A Fractured Fibula

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk suffered a fractured fibula in Monday's Winter Classic against Pittsburgh and will be out indefinitely. The injury didn't keep him from scoring both of Boston's goals in a 2-1 win, but it will now take a while until we see DeBrusk light the lamp again. He suffered the injury in the midst of a breakout season, with DeBrusk having recorded 16 goals and 14 assists in 36 games. Trent Frederic could now get a promotion to the top six to replace DeBrusk. The 24-year-old has had a decent campaign with seven goals and seven assists in limited minutes, and he could give his productivity a further boost with top-six minutes.

Jake DeBrusk Delivers Winter Classic Victory For Boston

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk netted both goals as the team came from behind to beat Pittsburgh 2-1 in the 2023 NHL Winter Classic on Monday. He tied the game 7:46 into the third period when Kasperi Kapanen had given the Penguins the lead and DeBrusk then managed to notch the decisive goal with 2:24 remaining in regulation. The 26-year-old had a strong finish to 2022 with a run of five points in five games and his first effort in 2023 was very impressive as well. DeBrusk has earned himself a spot on the first line and it's given him an opportunity to be a regular offensive threat in 2022-23. He now boasts 16 goals and 14 assists through 35 appearances after collecting only 42 points during the whole campaign last term.

Jake DeBrusk Injured In Bruins Season Opener

Boston Bruins winger Jake Debrusk could not continue to play after a cross-check from Washington Capitals defenseman Erik Gustafson Wednesday. Debrusk's upper body injury occurred in the second period in a 5-2 victory for Boston in their season opener. As a top-six forward for the Bruins, losing Debrusk for a significant amount of time could disrupt a potentially promising season for the team. The forward collected 42 points in 77 games despite requesting a trade last season.

Jake DeBrusk On First-Line Duty Thursday

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk will join the first line for Thursday's vital Game 6 against Carolina, replacing David Pastrnak. The Bruins were limited to just one goal in Tuesday's Game 5 loss and it looks like head coach Bruce Cassidy wants to spread his offensive talent around in the lineup a bit. DeBrusk has spent quite a bit of time on the top line since the turn of the year and he had a successful run on it during the regular season, which included a five-game goal streak. The 25-year-old has managed one goal and two assists in the playoffs.

Jake DeBrusk Maintains Hot Form In Friday's Win

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk produced a goal and an assist as the team beat Tampa Bay 2-1 in overtime Friday. He opened the scoring early in the second period with his 22nd goal of the season and then combined with Charlie McAvoy to set up Craig Smith for the game-winner 3:37 into the extra frame. DeBrusk, who was completely anonymous for the first half of the season, has shown off some really hot hands lately by recording 10 points in his last seven games. He's boosted his points tally for the season to 36 and should see more success in the upcoming games as he sits comfortably on the first line.

Jake DeBrusk Extends Point Streak To Five Games

Left wing Jake DeBrusk scored a hat trick and an assist in the 7-0 Boston Bruins rout over the Los Angeles Kings. DeBrusk is now on a five-game point streak with seven goals and two assists in that span. His emergence as a top-six winger is no coincidence, as he played much of the last game on a line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. The top line combined for nine points Monday night. As long as DeBrusk stays on the first line, he is a good fantasy pickup.

Jake DeBrusk A Healthy Scratch On Sunday For Boston

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk will not be in the lineup on Sunday night as they face the Vancouver Canucks at home. DeBrusk has struggled over the past three games in particular. He has eight shots but hardly any high-danger chances in that span. Furthermore, the former first-round pick has just six points in 17 games as his numbers begin to decline again. It boils down to consistency for DeBrusk. When he has it, the forward can string games together like his three-point stretch in three games vs New Jersey, Montreal, and Philadelphia. Unfortunately, that has not happened often enough.

Jake DeBrusk, Matt Grzelcyk Set To Return On Wednesday

Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk (lower body) and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk (lower body) are expected to return to action on Wednesday against the Rangers. DeBrusk has missed five games and Grzelcyk has been out for six matchups. The 27-year-old had a nice start to the season with three points and 13 shots in five games, while DeBrusk failed to impress with one point and nine shots through six games. DeBrusk returns on the third line to play alongside Charlie Coyle and Anders Bjork. Grzelcyk joins Brandon Carlo on the second defensive pairing and he is also set to see minutes on the second power-play unit.
