Scott Perunovich Back For Blues Sunday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich will be back in the lineup against the Rangers on Sunday. The 26-year-old has been a healthy scratch for the previous three games. Perunovich has struggled for consistency all season, recording six points (two goals, four assists) in 18 games with seven shots and 18 blocks. Pierre-Olivier Joseph gets the night off on Sunday to accommodate Perunovich, who will work with Ryan Suter on the third defensive pairing. Newly acquired Cam Fowler has replaced Suter in the top four. When he plays, Perunovich typically gets power-play time as well, but he's far from a reliable source for offense in fantasy hockey.

Scott Perunovich Earns One-Year Extension From Blues

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich has agreed to a one-year extension with the team. It's a one-way deal worth $1.15 million. Perunovich is coming off a one-year contract that paid him $775,000 and was a pending restricted free agent. The 25-year-old made 54 appearances for the Blues in 2023-24, collecting 17 points, all of which came via assists. He also recorded 53 blocks and 30 hits. Perunovich, who won the Hobey Baker Award in 2020 as the top college player in the country, has yet to score in 73 career games in the NHL. But he has proven himself as a skillful player on the blue line and could be ready to take a big step forward in 2024-25 if he can remain healthy.

Scott Perunovich Could Be Back In Action Thursday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich (lower body) has a good chance to return to the lineup on Thursday versus the Islanders and is officially considered a game-time call. The offensively gifted rearguard has been out for seven games. Perunovich is still looking for his first goal of the campaign but has registered 12 assists in 31 outings. Calle Rosen will likely come out of the lineup to accommodate Perunovich.

Scott Perunovich Ruled Out For Tuesday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich (lower body) won't play on Tuesday against Columbus. He was injured in Sunday's battle with the Kings. Perunovich had just started building momentum, logging five points in his past six appearances. He's sitting on 12 points for the season with 31 games played. Tyler Tucker, who's logged two points (one goal, one assist) across 15 appearances, is expected to replace Perunovich in the Blues lineup on Tuesday.

Scott Perunovich Injured On Sunday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's clash with the Kings. The 25-year-old collected two assists in a 4-3 overtime win before being forced to leave after logging 16:14 of ice time. He now boasts 12 points through 31 appearances, having done all his scoring via assists. St. Louis has one more game scheduled before heading off to the All-Star break, and it's unclear if Perunovich will be able to play Tuesday versus Columbus.

Scott Perunovich Will Undergo Surgery, Out At Least Six Months

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich (shoulder) is set to undergo surgery to repair a fractured left shoulder that he suffered in a preseason game. The Blues prospect will be re-evaluated in six months, meaning he is likely to miss most of, if not all, the 2022-23 season. Unfortunate news for Perunovich, who looked to be carving out a spot in the Blues top four while playing on their second powerplay unit. He will still be an exciting player for next season, but holds no value outside of dynasty leagues this season. In those dynasty leagues, he might be worth looking into for rebuilding teams as he could be a pretty cheap target.

Scott Perunovich Remains Under Evaluation

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich is still being evaluated for an upper-body injury he suffered in Tuesday's game against Chicago. He was involved in a collision along the boards and it appeared that he might have suffered a hand injury. Perunovich has shown bags of potential in college hockey and in the AHL, but injuries have limited him to just 19 regular-season outings in the NHL. He posted six assists in the big league last year and added four more in seven playoff appearances. The 24-year-old is definitely a guy fantasy managers should have on their watchlist.

Scott Perunovich Bags A Pair Of Points

St. Louis Blues defenseman Scott Perunovich picked up two points with assists in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Tampa, boosting his tally for the season to five points in nine games. The 23-year-old sits on the third defensive pairing, but he's been getting a nice chunk of power-play time and even ended up leading all Blues defensemen with 4:35 in power-play time on Thursday. He absolutely crushed it in the AHL this season with 20 points in 12 games before joining the main squad. Fantasy managers should definitely keep an eye on Perunovich, especially after Justin Faulk (COVID-19 protocols) dropped out of the lineup on Thursday.
