Zach Hyman Expected To Miss 4-7 Days

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman (undisclosed) is expected to be out for 4-7 days. He was hurt versus Ottawa on Tuesday and will miss his first game of the season when the Oilers host Minnesota on Thursday night. It looks likely that Hyman also won't play against the Rangers on Saturday. However, he will then be in contention to return to the lineup, as there's going to be a five-day gap until the next game. Kasperi Kapanen took Hyman's spot on the second line during Thursday's morning skate.

Zach Hyman Sits Out Third Period Versus Senators

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman (undisclosed) missed the third period of Tuesday's 5-2 win against Ottawa. He appeared to have gotten hurt on a hit late in the second frame. Hyman finished scoreless in 13:17 of action with two shots on goal. After exploding for 54 goals in 2023-24, Hyman has been slumping throughout this season. With 20 games played, he has mustered only three goals and eight points. Connor Brown might get a top-six job if Hyman is out for Thursday's clash with the Wild. Kasperi Kapanen, who was recently picked up off waivers, will likely grab the open spot in the lineup if Viktor Arvidsson (undisclosed) isn't ready to return.

Zach Hyman Records Two Points In Battle Of Alberta Win

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman amassed two points as the team won the second Battle of Alberta of the season against Calgary 4-2 on Sunday. Hyman picked up a first-period assist and struck the game-winning goal on the power play in the middle of the third frame. The 2024-25 campaign has been a tough one for Hyman, but he has finally started to show some signs of life. Hyman's only two goals have come in the past two games, and he has boosted his scoring total to four points with a three-point outburst in these contests. Based on his shooting numbers, we should start seeing Hyman among the goal-scorers more often in the near future. He's a 13.5 percent career shooter but has only converted 6.1 percent of his shots so far.

Zach Hyman Notches 13th Postseason Goal

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman scored his 13th postseason goal of the year on Monday, opening the scoring in a 5-3 defeat to Dallas. He became the fourth active player with at least 13 goals through 15 games in a postseason, joining Mark Scheifele (14 in 2018), Evander Kane (13 in 2022), and Sidney Crosby (13 in 2009). Hyman has failed to light the lamp just once in his last five appearances. With three assists also on his account, Hyman has matched his career high for most postseason points in a year with 16. Following Monday's Game 3 loss, he will have at least two more chances to grow his tally.

Zach Hyman Scores Hatty In Big Game 1 Win

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman went off for three goals and an assist in a 7-4 victory over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 1 of their first-round series. Hyman opened the scoring in the first period and added another in the second and third for his first career playoff hat trick. The 31-year-old just continues to get better with age, and it looks like he won't be slowing down from his 54-goal regular season. Playing with Connor McDavid also helps and could lead to many more goals during this playoff run for Hyman.

Zach Hyman Cracks The 50-Goal Barrier

Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman became a member of the 50-goal club on Sunday despite dropping a 5-3 decision to the Ottawa Senators. The 31-year-old reached the landmark with a second-period tally 3:34 into the middle frame. Hyman has spent the bulk of the season skating alongside Connor McDavid, posting 69 points to this point, but will have a tough time exceeding the 83 points he put up across 79 games last season. The Oilers dropped their second game in as many nights on Sunday after taking a 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Hyman potted a power-play goal in the first period and had an even-strength tally in the second. The two-goal effort helped him to register his first career 40-goal campaign. He's the first player not named Leon Draisaitl or Connor McDavid with a 40-goal season for the Oilers since 1990-91. 10 of Hyman's goals have come during an incredibly productive February. It's boosted his overall points tally for the year to 22 with 20 games played. Hyman has been in great form, and he should be able to build on it with Connor McDavid next to him on the top line. Zach Hyman Misses Tuesday's Game With Illness

Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman (illness) missed Tuesday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Hyman caught the flu bug that appears to be making its way around the league and was unable to play. Fortunately, the Oilers hung on for a 5-4 win without their first-line winger. Sam Gagner, who replaced Hyman, scored in the game and could get back into the lineup soon with his performance. As for Hyman, he has put up 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 20 games this season as Connor McDavid's linemate. Hyman should be available Thursday against Winnipeg, assuming the illness doesn't linger, and he should be back in all fantasy lineups.

Zach Hyman Set To Return Wednesday

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman (undisclosed) is on track to return to the lineup Wednesday against Arizona. He missed his first game of the season Monday versus Washington with an unspecified ailment, but Hyman has made a quick recovery. The 30-year-old will head straight back to the first line to team up with Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. Hyman is Edmonton's fourth-best scorer this season behind the star duo and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, having recorded nine goals and 17 assists in 25 games. The Coyotes are among the weakest teams in the league, so this is a really nice comeback spot for Hyman.

Zach Hyman Stays Hot With A Goal

Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman registered the team's only goal in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Kings. He tied the game 12:47 into the second period, but Edmonton struggled to create chances all night and couldn't get anything else past Calvin Petersen. It's been a rough month overall for the team, with the Oilers going 3-5-0 in November, but Hyman has kept his level of play high. The 30-year-old has been held off the score sheet just twice in his past 12 outings, and he's on eight goals and 10 assists for the year. The former Toronto man has now scored 35 goals for Edmonton, and only Leon Draisaitl (64) and Connor McDavid (59) have lit the lamp more for the Oilers since Hyman joined the team last season.

Zach Hyman Gets Back To Action
