The San Diego Padres are expected to promote relief pitching prospect Bradgley Rodriguez to the major leagues prior to their contest on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rodriguez is currently considered the No. 14-ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com. Rodriguez has spent time with Double-A this season and will skip Triple-A en route to joining San Diego.
