Bruihl will provide the Reds with some bullpen depth in 2024 and will be competing for a roster spot in spring training. Bruihl, 26, has looked solid in his third MLB season, amassing a 4.01 FIP and 47.9 GB% through 24.1 innings out of the bullpen. The southpaw primarily pitches to soft contact, as evidenced by his high ground-ball rate and low K/9 (7.03), BB/9 (2.96), and HR/9 (0.74) clips. Bruihl presumably replaces Brad Hand on the Rockies' roster and is very controllable; he won't even be eligible for arbitration until after the 2025 season.
