Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael McGreevy was excellent against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, going eight innings and allowing just one run in a 6-1 win. McGreevy continued to impress in this one, allowing just five hits and walking none while punching out six. The 24-year-old now has a 1.96 ERA and 0.78 WHIP in a limited sample size of 23 IP. While he has been great in the majors, his minor-league stats are pretty mediocre. If nothing else, McGreevy has at least given himself a chance to aim for a rotation spot in Spring Training next year.

Michael McGreevy Set To Join Major-League Roster
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitching prospect Michael McGreevy is set to join the major league roster this afternoon, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic. McGreevy got a brief taste of the major leagues earlier this summer as he allowed just one run across seven innings. At Triple-A this season, the No.10 ranked prospect in the St. Louis system has held a 4.02 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP through 150 innings of work. Woo further reported that the prospect is expected to be deployed in a long relief role for now but could eventually find his way into the starting rotation over the final week of the season. McGreevy could be a favorable streaming candidate if he were to make a start next week.

Michael McGreevy Rolls In Big-League Debut
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael McGreevy made his major-league debut in Wednesday afternoon's victory over the defending-champion Texas Rangers at Busch Stadium, logging a quality start with three strikeouts. McGreevy allowed a lone run on five hits and one walk in seven innings of work during his first taste of big-league play on Wednesday against the Rangers, grabbing his first career win in the process. The 24-year-old right-hander is ranked as St. Louis' No. 15 prospect for 2024, according to MLB Pipeline, so he figures to be more of an option in deep fantasy leagues for the remainder of the campaign. With Lance Lynn (knee) headed to the injured list on Wednesday, McGreevy should get another crack in the Cardinals' rotation at home in a tough matchup for Monday's game against the visiting New York Mets.

Michael McGreevy Coming Up For Spot Start
The St. Louis Cardinals will call up pitching prospect Michael McGreevy, who will make a spot start against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. McGreevy, the team's first-round pick in the 2021 draft and the team's 15th-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline, is 5-7 with a 4.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 20 starts with Triple-A Memphis, striking out 96 and walking 36 in 109 1/3 innings. The Cards will bring up McGreevy as they are playing 16 straight games and wanted to make sure the rotation got an extra day of rest. However, they will go with a six-man rotation once. Daily fantasy players can skip McGreevy.

Michael McGreevy Tosses Six Shutout Innings In Thursday’s Victory
St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Michael McGreevy threw 6 2/3 shutout innings en route to his first victory of the season. The former first-round selection surrendered only four hits and one walk. He struck out four. This was an excellent bounce-back performance for the 23-year-old, as he allowed five earned runs in his previous start. He has an overall 4.02 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 15 2/3 innings of Triple-A ball so far to begin the 2024 campaign. Last season, he had a similar 4.12 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 153 innings across Double-A and Triple-A. McGreevy should be expected to make his major-league debut sometime this summer.
