The Chicago White Sox placed starting pitcher Manny Banuelos (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with left shoulder inflammation and recalled reliever Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Banuelos is 3-4 on the year with a 6.90 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 13 games (eight starts) over 45 2/3 innings. He can continue to be left to the waiver wire in mixed leagues, as this is the second IL stint for the same injury for him in 2019. Fulmer is 1-1 with a 6.97 ERA in eight relief outings (10 1/3 innings) with the Pale Hose this year and is not a fantasy option whatsoever.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Manny Banuelos (shoulder) has been activated from the 10-day disabled list on Saturday and will start against the Twins. Banuelos is 2-3 on the year with a scary 7.26 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 32 strikeouts and 19 walks in 31 innings over nine outings and five starts. He's allowed 10 home runs in those 31 innings, so a matchup against the high-powered Minnesota lineup is nothing that you should want to mess around with in fantasy leagues. You'd be playing with fire if you were bold enough to run with Banuelos in his first start back from the injured list.
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Manny Banuelos (shoulder) hasn't been named the official starter for Saturday against the Twins, but all signs are "pointing in that direction," according to manager Rick Renteria. In what would be his first start off the injured list on the road against one of the better hitting teams in the American League, Banuelos won't come recommended in fantasy leagues if he gets the nod. The 28-year-old righty is 2-3 with a 7.26 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 31 innings over nine outings (five starts).
