Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki (hip) has been scratched from the lineup for Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday. Yan Gomes will now do the catching and will hit eighth against Astros starter Zack Greinke. Suzuki had a crucial home run in the Game 2 win in Houston, but otherwise he's done nothing in the postseason with the bat. Gomes was the lesser of the two fantasy options during the regular season, but he is 7-for-25 (.280) with two doubles and three RBI this postseason. He's still a low-upside DFS option against Greinke in this winner-take-all game.
Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki (hip) is back in the starting lineup for Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday against Astros starter Zack Greinke. Suzuki is behind the plate and will hit eighth in the lineup. It's Suzuki's first start since Game 3 of the series when the team faced Greinke for the first time. The backstop went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in that game and has two hits (one homer) in his 10 World Series at-bats with three K's. Overall this postseason, Zuk is hitting just .100 (3-for-30) with 11 strikeouts. He's not a very enticing DFS option at his position while hitting low in the order.
Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki (hip) is not in the lineup for Game 4 of the World Series against the Nationals. The veteran has been struggling with other minor injuries for the past two months and exited Game 3 early with a right hip flexor injury. Suzuki is only 3-for-30 this postseason and some of that could be due to taking a pitch off the wrist against the Dodgers in the NLDS. Suzuki's status for the rest of the series could be up in the air.
