St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong will try and shake loose from a sluggish second half of his season when the team opens up their playoff hunt against the Braves on Thursday. DeJong hit only .202 after the All-Star break and is hitting only .145 over his last 55 at-bats. DeJong, however, could surprise in Atlanta for Game 1. 20 of DeJong's 30 home runs this season have come on the road and the talented infielder can go on hot streaks. He will be a risky option, however, in fantasy to begin the postseason.
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. This appears to be nothing more than a routine day off for him. Yairo Munoz will cover shortstop and bat eighth versus righty Tyler Mahle. Munoz has been average with the bat for awhile, so he doesn't have much DFS appeal here.
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong hit another home run on Monday, his 24th of the season. DeJong went 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and three RBI. DeJong looks like he might be starting off a hot streak, and he's one of the most valuable offensive pieces when he's on. He'll take a .248/.331/.462 line into his next game and should be started in all formats until he cools off.
