Jeremy Sochan Won't Suit Up Again On Friday

According to Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com, San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan (back) will not suit up against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Sochan will be sidelined for the fourth consecutive game due to back spasms. Stephon Castle will likely continue to step in for the 21-year-old as he posted 26 points (9-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 129-115 loss to the Grizzlies.

Micah Potter Ruled Out With Illness On Friday

Utah Jazz forward/center Micah Potter (illness) has been ruled out on Friday for the matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. John Collins (hip), Lauri Markkanen (back), and Walker Kessler (rest) are all sidelined as well, so they'll roll with an extremely thin frontcourt. Kyle Filipowski could move into the starting center role while Brice Sensabaugh is also a good streaming option. The former registered eight points, two rebounds, and two assists while the latter had 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists in their last game.

Jordan Clarkson  • SG  •  Jazz

Jordan Clarkson Won't Suit Up Friday Against Pelicans

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) will not take the court on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans while he deals with some plantar fasciitis in his left foot. The veteran combo guard hasn't played in their last six games after only being able to register three minutes of playing time against the Miami Heat on January 4. Collin Sexton is back in the lineup on Friday, but Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier could be good streaming options in deeper leagues. The former posted 26 points, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals in their last game against the Hornets.

Yves Missi  • C  •  Pelicans

Yves Missi Out Friday

New Orleans Pelicans center Yves Missi (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. Missi will miss his second game this season due to a non-COVID illness. He's made 41 appearances during his rookie campaign, averaging 9.1 points and 8.2 rebounds. His next opportunity to play comes on Monday versus the Jazz. With the 20-year-old Missi sidelined, Daniel Theis and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely see more minutes on the floor.

Collin Sexton  • PG  •  Jazz

Collin Sexton Listed As Available On Friday

Utah Jazz guard Collin Sexton (finger) will play on Friday after being listed as available for the team's matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. With Jordan Clarkson (foot) and Lauri Markkanen (back) both out, Sexton will likely be called upon for some extra scoring and playmaking. The 26-year-old averages 18.2 points, 3.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 threes per game while clocking 28.8 minutes per contest. His defensive value hasn't been as high this season, but he's been scoring at a very efficient clip (.477/.420/.902) which has been welcomed in category leagues.

Josh Giddey  • SG  •  Bulls

Josh Giddey Upgraded To Probable For Friday

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hip) has been upgraded from questionable to probable for Friday's matchup with the Hornets. Giddey has been dealing with soreness in his right hip, but he will likely suit up this evening. He played around 30 minutes in their last game on Wednesday and collected seven points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. If he can't play, Lonzo Ball, Coby White (probable - neck), and Ayo Dosunmu (probable - calf) would all see a bump in fantasy value across all formats.

Gary Harris  • SG  •  Magic

Gary Harris Ruled Out Again On Friday

Orlando Magic guard Gary Harris (hamstring) remains sidelined on Friday and will not face the Boston Celtics. This is his eighth consecutive missed game and 22nd missed contest overall. Harris has been plagued with injury after injury which echoes the type of luck that the Magic have had as a team. Since Jalen Suggs (back) is also out, Cole Anthony and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have been the starting backcourt. Both options are solid in deeper fantasy leagues looking for guard help.

Franz Wagner  • SF  •  Magic

Franz Wagner Remains Sidelined Friday

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner (oblique) is not ready to return just yet as he's listed as out while he continues to ramp up his conditioning. While he's sidelined against the Boston Celtics on Friday, Tristan Da Silva will likely remain in the starting five. Anthony Black, however, has been the better streaming option as he posted 10 points, four assists, and two steals in their last game while clocking 30 minutes off of the bench. Over the last three games, he's averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.

Joel Embiid  • C  •  76ers

Joel Embiid Set To Miss At Least The Next 7-10 Days

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (foot) keeps receiving more and more bad news each week as he'll miss the team's upcoming road trip. According to the team, the former MVP will be re-evaluated in the next 7-to-10 days. While rehabbing his sprained foot, he experienced swelling in the same knee that needed surgery last season, so the Sixers didn't want to risk him coming back and hurting it again. Andre Drummond (toe) is finally listed as probable, so he should return to the starting lineup while Guerschon Yabusele (knee) is listed as questionable. They would both be the best streaming options until Embiid returns.

Khris Middleton  • SF  •  Bucks

Khris Middleton Considered Probable On Friday

Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Khris Middleton (ankle) has drawn a probable tag for the Friday night matchup with the Toronto Raptors. The veteran has played in 16 games so far this season while he gets periodic rest days for his ankle after the off-season surgeries. He's averaging 12.6 points, 4.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.4 threes across 23.4 minutes per game. Middleton is a solid fantasy asset in category leagues as long as there's an IR spot available for his off days. Gary Trent Jr. (hip) is also considered probable, so he might not see as much usage in this contest.

Giannis Antetokounmpo  • PF  •  Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo Probable To Face Off Against Raptors

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) gets another probable status on Friday and should suit up against the Toronto Raptors. Since a four-game absence near the end of December, he's been on a healthy stretch over the last nine games. In that time, he's averaged 27.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 56.9% from the floor. The Raptors frontcourt is healthy for this game, but the last time the two teams faced off on January 6, Antetokounmpo finished with a triple-double and seven turnovers.

LeBron James  • SF  •  Lakers

LeBron James Draws Probable Status Against Nets

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) remains on the injury report with injury management on his left foot but is considered probable against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. At this stage of his career, he's a mainstay on the report and almost seems like he's permanently "day-to-day." Since he's more than likely to play, fantasy managers can expect a solid game from the King against a Nets team that couldn't even score 70 points against the Clippers. James posted 22 points, nine assists, five rebounds, and two steals in his last outing.

Anthony Davis  • C  •  Lakers

Anthony Davis Listed As Probable On Friday

Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) made his daily appearance on the injury report for Friday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets and is considered probable to play. Davis and LeBron James will be on the injury report pretty much every game until further notice, and fantasy managers who rostered them are accustomed to this song and dance by now. Davis posted a full stat line in their last game with 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks across 36 minutes. He's likely to do much of the same against a weak Nets team that scored only 67 points in their last outing.

Dejounte Murray  • SG  •  Pelicans

Dejounte Murray Trending Towards Playing On Friday

New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow) remains on the injury report with elbow bursitis but is considered probable to play against the Utah Jazz on Friday. Murray, along with the entire Pelicans' roster, has had some injury troubles this year, but hasn't needed to miss a game since the end of November. The Jazz have a lengthy injury report, so Murray could be in line for a good night while Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Herbert Jones (shoulder) remain sidelined. In a down year, he still averages 17.2 points, 7.6 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game.

John Collins  • PF  •  Jazz

John Collins Sidelined On Friday

Utah Jazz forward John Collins (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game for injury management on his left hip. With Collins sitting out against the Pelicans along with Walker Kessler (rest) and Lauri Markkanen (back), the frontcourt will be very thin. Micah Potter, Kyle Filipowski, and Brice Sensabaugh will all see some added playing time. In their last game, Potter posted two points and four rebounds while Sensabaugh had 19 points, four assists, and four rebounds. Filipowski even contributed eight points, two assists, and two rebounds, but Sensabaugh seems to be the better streaming option at this moment.

Coby White  • SG  •  Bulls

Coby White Considered Probable Against Hornets

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White (neck) is dealing with a neck strain right now but has been listed as probable for their Friday night game against the Charlotte Hornets. He's been a regular on the injury report lately but was able to play 32 minutes in their game against the Hawks on Wednesday where he dropped 16 points, six assists, two rebounds, one steal, and one block. He's on track to play right now, while Josh Giddey (hip) is considered questionable, so White may have an even bigger part to play in the playmaking department.

Josh Giddey  • SG  •  Bulls

Josh Giddey Questionable On Friday Against Hornets

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hip) has been tagged as questionable for Friday's game against the Charlotte Hornets due to hip soreness. He was able to play around 30 minutes in their last game on Wednesday and posted seven points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. This will likely come down to whether or not the soreness gets worse leading up to shootaround and warm-ups. If he can't suit up, Lonzo Ball, Coby White (probable - neck), and Ayo Dosunmu (probable - calf) would all see a bump up in fantasy value in all formats.

Lauri Markkanen  • PF  •  Jazz

Lauri Markkanen Out Again On Friday Night

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) won't play on Friday in New Orleans. He'll now miss his third-straight game because of back spasms. With Walker Kessler (rest), John Collins (hip), and Jordan Clarkson (foot) also ruled out, the Jazz will presumably get most of their production from Collin Sexton, Keyonte George, and Brice Sensabaugh. Cody Williams will likely remain in the starting lineup. However, he's averaged just 4.8 points in 10 starts during the 2024-25 campaign, so he doesn't have much upside for fantasy managers.

Walker Kessler  • C  •  Jazz

Walker Kessler Resting On Friday Evening

Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler (rest) won't play on Friday in New Orleans. The 2022 No. 22 overall pick didn't suit up for Sunday's narrow win over the Brooklyn Nets for the same reason, opening the door for Drew Eubanks to get the start and finish with eight points, nine boards, and three blocks. With John Collins (hip) and Micah Potter (illness) also ruled out for Friday's contest, Eubanks is in line for another start, giving him streaming potential for fantasy managers. He'll also be an enticing DFS value option, even if he comes off the bench.

Mark Williams  • C  •  Hornets

Mark Williams Expected To Play Versus The Bulls

Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams (knee) is probable for Friday's matchup with the Bulls. The 22-year-old missed the first 20 games of the 2024-25 campaign because of various ailments. However, he's only missed two games since his return. Not only that, but Williams is having the best year of his career, averaging 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. Of course, anything can happen regarding his availability. But with Nick Richards now in Phoenix, Taj Gibson, averaging only 3.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in eight starts this season, will likely take over at the five if Williams can't suit up.
