Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith All Sitting for Indiana

The Indiana Pacers are sitting a handful of rotation players on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets. Starters Pascal Siakam (hamstring), Andrew Nembhard (injury management), and Aaron Nesmith (back) have all been ruled out. Reserve guard T.J. McConnell (hamstring) also won't play. Center Micah Potter (ankle) and forward Jarace Walker (illness) are questionable. The lengthy injury report comes on the second night of a back-to-back after Indiana's overtime win over the Knicks on Tuesday. With 14 games on the NBA slate, it's unlikely that any Indiana player who is shoved into the starting lineup will be stream-worthy.

Aaron Nesmith Cleared to Play Tuesday

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (hand) will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the New York Knicks, SNY's Ian Begley reports. It was initially unclear whether he would play after Indiana listed Nesmith as questionable on the injury report. On Tuesday, Nesmith will look to regain his scoring touch, having finished Sunday's loss to Toronto with only seven points. He has averaged 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across his last 10 appearances. Since Nesmith isn't fully healthy, he could be unavailable for the second leg of a back-to-back set on Wednesday against Brooklyn.

Aaron Nesmith Ruled Out for Tuesday's Game Against the Jazz

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (hand) will be sidelined for his team's Tuesday matchup with the Jazz due to a left hand strain. The team also ruled out Andrew Nembhard (back), Pascal Siakam (rest), and Bennedict Mathurin (rest), so it's hard to know if Nesmith's injury is something that will cost him time going forward or not. He has scored at least 14 points in each of his last five games, and he's establishing himself with a regular role in the lineup. Without so many starters on Tuesday, the team will likely lean heavily on Ben Sheppard, Johnny Furphy, Jarace Walker, and Quenton Jackson to help fill minutes and production on the wings.

Bennedict Mathurin Out Again, Aaron Nesmith Available vs. 76ers

Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin (thumb) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Philadelphia, extending his absence to nine straight contests since suffering a right thumb sprain on Jan. 2. Indiana continues to reshuffle wing minutes, keeping Aaron Nesmith (rest) in a featured scoring role upon his return. Johnny Furphy has started recently and delivered double-digit scoring twice over his last five games, making him a deep-league streamer. Ben Sheppard remains a volatile option due to fluctuating minutes and usage.

Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith Unavailable on Saturday

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (back) and forward Aaron Nesmith (rest) won't play on Saturday against Detroit. The duo each logged over 30 minutes in Friday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans, combining for 31 points. However, they will both take the night off to rest. Pascal Siakam (rest) and T.J. McConnell (knee) also won't suit up, so the Pacers might get extra production from players like Quenton Jackson, Ben Sheppard, and Jarace Walker in a difficult matchup with the Pistons, one of the best defensive squads in the NBA. Jay Huff could also thrive after coming off a 29-point, nine-rebound, two-block, two-steal effort.

Aaron Nesmith Back on Saturday Night

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (knee) will play on Saturday against Miami. The 2020 No. 14 overall pick averaged a career-high 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds before a sprained left MCL put him on the Injury Report for over a month. He'll presumably be eased back into action, so his fantasy ceiling could be capped for at least a few contests, making him a risky option until he starts seeing around the 30 minutes he logged per contest prior to the injury.

Aaron Nesmith Ruled Out for at Least Four Weeks

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (knee) will be out of action for at least four weeks, head coach Rick Carlisle announced on Saturday. Nesmith sprained his left knee on Thursday against the Phoenix Suns. His exit from the lineup gave Jarace Walker a new starting opportunity on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors. During a recent seven-game stint in the first unit, Walker averaged 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across 31.0 minutes per game. If he sticks in the starting lineup, the 22-year-old is set to have additional fantasy value until at least mid-December.

Aaron Nesmith to Miss Time with Knee Soreness

Indiana Pacers guard/forward Aaron Nesmith (knee) will miss time, though Rick Carlisle said they are hopeful it is not too serious. Nesmith has been a quiet fantasy win, averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 30.5 minutes while shooting 36.7% from the field and 37.3% from deep. His recent stretch included a 25-point outing with three threes and four steals at Denver. With him sidelined, opportunities may rise for Jarace Walker and Ben Sheppard, though both have been inconsistent so far. Expect Andrew Nembhard's touches to increase slightly, while Pascal Siakam remains the primary scoring hub.

Aaron Nesmith Agrees to Two-Year Extension With Pacers

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith has agreed to a two-year contract extension ahead of the new season, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. He's signing a two-year, $40.4 million deal, which includes a trade kicker. Nesmith will begin his fourth campaign with the Pacers and could have a significantly larger role on offense due to Tyrese Haliburton's (Achilles) absence and Myles Turner's departure. Last season, Nesmith averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds with career-high shooting percentages. He went 43.1 percent from deep and 50.7 percent overall from the field. Indiana kicks off its campaign on Thursday night with a rematch of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Aaron Nesmith Posts a Double-Double in Pacers Game 1 Victory

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith had 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds in 31 minutes in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. He was one of three Pacers with a double-double on the night, joining Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton. Nesmith knocked down three three-pointers and added an assist and a blocked shot while also finishing with five turnovers. Nesmith's supporting role will continue to be extremely important for the Pacers in the Finals, and it looks like he'll continue to get plenty of minutes and opportunities from his spot in the starting five.
