Aaron Nesmith Ruled Out for at Least Four Weeks

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (knee) will be out of action for at least four weeks, head coach Rick Carlisle announced on Saturday. Nesmith sprained his left knee on Thursday against the Phoenix Suns. His exit from the lineup gave Jarace Walker a new starting opportunity on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors. During a recent seven-game stint in the first unit, Walker averaged 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across 31.0 minutes per game. If he sticks in the starting lineup, the 22-year-old is set to have additional fantasy value until at least mid-December.

Aaron Nesmith to Miss Time with Knee Soreness

Indiana Pacers guard/forward Aaron Nesmith (knee) will miss time, though Rick Carlisle said they are hopeful it is not too serious. Nesmith has been a quiet fantasy win, averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 30.5 minutes while shooting 36.7% from the field and 37.3% from deep. His recent stretch included a 25-point outing with three threes and four steals at Denver. With him sidelined, opportunities may rise for Jarace Walker and Ben Sheppard, though both have been inconsistent so far. Expect Andrew Nembhard's touches to increase slightly, while Pascal Siakam remains the primary scoring hub.

Aaron Nesmith Agrees to Two-Year Extension With Pacers

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith has agreed to a two-year contract extension ahead of the new season, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. He's signing a two-year, $40.4 million deal, which includes a trade kicker. Nesmith will begin his fourth campaign with the Pacers and could have a significantly larger role on offense due to Tyrese Haliburton's (Achilles) absence and Myles Turner's departure. Last season, Nesmith averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds with career-high shooting percentages. He went 43.1 percent from deep and 50.7 percent overall from the field. Indiana kicks off its campaign on Thursday night with a rematch of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Aaron Nesmith Posts a Double-Double in Pacers Game 1 Victory

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith had 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds in 31 minutes in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. He was one of three Pacers with a double-double on the night, joining Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton. Nesmith knocked down three three-pointers and added an assist and a blocked shot while also finishing with five turnovers. Nesmith's supporting role will continue to be extremely important for the Pacers in the Finals, and it looks like he'll continue to get plenty of minutes and opportunities from his spot in the starting five.

Aaron Nesmith Available Thursday

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) has been cleared to play in Thursday's Game 5 against the New York Knicks. He was initially listed as questionable for the contest due to a right ankle sprain Nesmith suffered in Game 3 of the series. Nesmith has been excellent in the series, averaging 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals with red-hot 61.9 percent shooting from downtown. The Knicks must do a better job guarding Nesmith around the three-point line; otherwise, their season could be over following Thursday night.

Aaron Nesmith Back on the Injury Report Ahead of Game 5

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's Game 5 against the New York Knicks. He rolled his right ankle in Game 3 of the series and was also deemed questionable for Tuesday's Game 4. However, Nesmith managed to play through the injury, recording 16 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 32 minutes. Since he had no issues playing in Game 4, it seems likely that Nesmith will remain in the lineup on Thursday night. His presence limits the impact that Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin can have, although the latter impressed with a 20-point performance in just 12 minutes during Tuesday's 130-121 win.

Aaron Nesmith Listed as Questionable for Game 4 Against Knicks

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's Game 4 against the New York Knicks. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle has said Nesmith will "likely" be a game-time decision for the contest. The 25-year-old is trying to overcome a right ankle sprain suffered in Sunday's Game 3 loss. Having Nesmith available would be crucial for the Pacers, as he is among the team's top defensive players and has shown incredible shooting efficiency in the postseason. Nesmith has fired in 53.5 percent of his triples in the playoffs, with his biggest performance coming in Game 1 against the Knicks, where he finished 8-for-9 from downtown. If Nesmith is unable to play Tuesday night, Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin will likely be called upon to take on more responsibilities.

Aaron Nesmith Puts Up 30 Points with Eight Triples Wednesday

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith had a major role in Wednesday's 138-135 comeback victory over the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, putting up 30 points with a remarkable 8-for-9 three-point shooting. He had saved most of his three-point bombs for the final five minutes of regulation, racking up a whopping 20 points to help the Pacers push the game to overtime from a 14-point deficit. Nesmith made only one two-point shot, going 9-for-13 from the field. He also had a pair of rebounds and blocks with one steal in the contest. While Nesmith is mainly known for his defensive abilities, he has hit three-pointers at an outstanding rate throughout the postseason (53.8 percent), and the Knicks need to pay closer attention to him when he has the ball behind the arc.

Aaron Nesmith Upgraded To Available

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (back) has been upgraded to available for Tuesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. The team initially gave him a probable tag on the injury report, as Nesmith is dealing with a lower back bruise. Nesmith has sunk 10 triples over the last three games, averaging 16.0 points during that stretch. He has also been a significant presence on the glass, collecting 5.0 rebounds per game in the first-round series.

Aaron Nesmith Probable For Tuesday's Action

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (back) is listed as probable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 25-year-old is carrying a lower back bruise, but this is not expected to keep him off the floor. Nesmith has had a highly successful series, averaging 13.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals. He has scored at least 14 points in three out of four games, primarily due to his impressive 52.4 percent success rate from three-point range. Nesmith has averaged 27.5 minutes a night, so there will be a considerable gap to fill in the rotation if he suffers a setback and can't play.
