T.J. McConnell Questionable To Play On Wednesday

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell (ankle) is on the injury report as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Raptors. On Sunday, he sprained his right ankle in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers and wasn't in the lineup for Monday night's action against the Denver Nuggets. With McConnell out of commission, starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton (groin) logged 40 minutes on Monday. However, Indiana also lists Haliburton as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game. If both players are out, Andrew Nembhard will likely handle most of the playmaking Wednesday night, with Ben Sheppard and Bennedict Mathurin in line for more playing time.

T.J. McConnell Ruled Out Versus Charlotte

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell (illness) won't play in Friday's matchup with the Hornets. The veteran was listed as questionable. But an illness will keep him off the floor against Charlotte. McConnell isn't a consistent fantasy producer, considering he has averaged 9.8 points and 4.1 assists this season. However, his absence could mean more work for Ben Sheppard, who will likely draw value attention from DFS managers on Friday evening.

T.J. McConnell Tagged As Questionable On Friday

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell (illness) picked up a questionable tag heading into their Friday night matchup with the Charlotte Hornets. The backup point guard is dealing with an illness, so it will likely be a game-time decision based on how he's feeling. T.J. McConnell Lands Contract Extension With Indiana

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell agreed to a four-year, $45 million contract extension with the club on Friday. Although the 32-year-old isn't a starter, he is one of the most essential players on the Pacers' roster. He finished the 2023-24 campaign by averaging a career-high 10.2 points with 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals and was even more productive throughout the postseason. With that said, Tyrese Haliburton's health is seemingly always an issue, so fantasy managers should strongly consider adding McConnell for insurance purposes heading into opening night.

Pacers Want T.J. McConnell To Remain In Indiana

According to NBA insider Evan Sidery, the Indiana Pacers want guard T.J. McConnell to remain with the team for the remainder of his career. The 32-year-old averaged a career-high 10.2 points with 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals during the 2023-24 campaign. He was also instrumental in helping the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. McConnell, who has one year left on his current deal, is eligible for an extension this offseason. With that said, he isn't expected to be a routine fantasy producer in 2024-25, but he could get plenty of chances to be productive, considering Tyrese Haliburton's inability to remain healthy.

T.J. McConnell Solid Off The Bench In Game 4 Loss

Indiana Pacers point guard T.J. McConnell enjoyed another productive bench outing on Monday against the Celtics, scoring 15 points and tallying five rebounds, four assists, and one steal as Indiana's season ended with a 105-102 loss. He finished with 7-for-16 shooting, missing his lone attempt from three-point range. McConnell impressed throughout the playoffs with his high-energy performances off the bench. He averaged 11.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists across 20.5 minutes.
