Ivica Zubac News
Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac recorded his eighth double-double of the season on Monday, finishing a 109-99 win over Dallas with 15 points and 11 rebounds. He shot a very nice 7-for-8 from the field and added one steal on the defensive end. Zubac doesn't get many chances to shine for the Clippers, but he does record a good line here and there. His work on the glass has been particularly impressive lately with the Croatian center picking up 8.4 boards per game. Serge Ibaka (back) missed Monday's game, which led to Zubac logging 35 minutes, and he could be set for another solid outing on Wednesday against Dallas if Ibaka doesn't make it back.
Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac had a strong game off the bench in Thursday night's loss to the Washington Wizards. Zubac shot 5-for-10 from the field and 3-for-3 from the line. He scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while also adding an assist and a steal. He played nearly 29 minutes in the game, well above his season average of nearly 20 minutes per game. Zubac is averaging 8.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game on the year while shooting 65.9% from the field. When the minutes have been there, he's delivered strong rebounding numbers, but he's seen limited playing time in certain matchups and that should continue after the All-Star Break as well.
Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac (abdominal) has been deemed a last-minute call as to whether he'll suit up for Wednesday's game versus the Pelicans. Head coach Ty Lue said that Zubac was dealing with abdominal soreness, which the team would test out prior to tip-off to judge whether he could suit up, but the late entry of the ailment likely doesn't bode in Zubac's favor. Serge Ibaka would figure to take on an increased role if Zubac is ultimately held out. DFS managers planning for either the late slate or on late lock lineups will want to have a backup plan in the event that the Clippers are short-handed in the frontcourt Wednesday.
Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac scored a season-high 17 points in Thursday's 120-105 win over the Rockets. The former Laker also added 12 rebounds and one block in 20 minutes of play, making his overall stat line a double-double. The 22-year-old is not the most explosive player, averaging eight points, seven rebounds, and 18 minutes per game. His rebounding prowess is great, but his last double-double was on Jan. 14, proof of his limited fantasy ceiling. Zubac is a modest fantasy player, and he faces a very tough rebounding defense in the Lakers on Sunday.
