C.J. McCollum News
New Orleans Pelicans point guard C.J. McCollum posted another strong stat line in Tuesday's victory over the Suns, finishing with 23 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. After scuffling from the field in Game 1, McCollum did improve his shooting percentage, while finding a rhythm from deep to the tune of 6-for-10. McCollum knocked down at least six threes just four times during the regular season, one of which came against Phoenix on Oct. 23 when the guard was still with Portland. With McCollum firmly entrenched as the team's point guard, his assists upside will only increase as the series continues; in 64 career playoff appearances, he is yet to log a double-double. His next chance comes Friday in Game 3.
New Orleans Pelicans guard C.J. McCollum was a huge reason why his team won against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. McCollum finished with a team-high 32 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in 39 minutes of playing time. He was unstoppable in the first half when he knocked down 10-of-12 shots for 27 points. He didn't do much in the second half, but the Pelicans held control of the contest. The acquisition of McCollum was huge for this team. They'll need McCollum to do it again versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
New Orleans Pelicans guard C.J. McCollum (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Brandon Ingram (hamstring) is expected to return and should carry a heavy workload, assuming McCollum cannot play. Devonte' Graham could end up staying in the starting five, assuming McCollum is out. He'd be asked to take on more responsibility. The Pelicans have a bunch of banged up players, so fantasy managers will have to check back later in the day.
New Orleans Pelicans guard C.J. McCollum has cleared the league's health and safety protocols. That being said, McCollum is allowed to return on Tuesday after missing each of the last two games. This is good news for the Pelicans as they'll need McCollum against a tough Phoenix Suns roster. Devonte' Graham should shift back to the bench and won't have as much streaming appeal. Fantasy managers should expect McCollum to slide into the starting five and be the focal point on offense.
